Kinda can't say 5th year when there wasn't a first weekend to get out of in 2020, but the point is still strong.

So many bad turnovers. So many wide open 3s. So many layups. Just completely sad defense. Embarassing. They make Taylor and Radford look like All Americans both times. Really like Radford's game.

Tennessee just got smacked around. Does this knock them off of the #1 seed line? It just might depending on what else happens this weekend. Hope Cal points to this result and makes sure the Cats are awake tonight!

I like the cast enough so far. I've had enough of Bhanu's whining though. I'm 100% with you on Venus. Not a fan and would want her gone.

I'm interested as well. I feel like the committee will probably give them the benefit of the doubt and still a better seed than they deserve because of the injuries. But others that dealt with them throughout the year won't get the same luxury.

I don't know anything about Josh Heird, or the overall Athletic Department at Louisville. But when you swing and miss that badly, does his seat heat up a little?

Might not be a shock to the head, but would be to the heart. I've really enjoyed watching this team this year, even with some of their glaring deficiencies. I think it'll largely depend on their matchup. A few weeks ago I would have said that I really worry about a team that is a more bullying style but they've proven more recently that they can play and win against those types. I feel confident they can make an Elite 8 or better run, but at the same time wouldn't be shocked if they lose the first weekend. Just hoping for the best.

Kenny Payne basically blaming everyone but himself for the abysmal 2 years was a tough watch.

I don't think that they will. I don't remember what the "qualifiers" are, but not sure they met them. Really rough last game for NKU's all-time leading scorer. He's had a great career at NKU.

I, as well as I assume the Sheppard family, the Coaching Staff, plus anyone that has watched the Kentucky Wildcats without an agenda other than just hoping they win, would say that him coming off the bench has been working out phenomenal for Reed and the Kentucky Wildcats. Cal should probably get a lot of credit for continuing to bring him off the bench, instead of listening to folks like yourself throughout BBN. By bringing him off the bench, he has allowed Reed to continuing exceling to another level, with the team playing at its best that we've seen all year. All while Calipari has also been able to maintain the confidence of guys like Wagner and Edwards, who have been very important the past few weeks and who will hopefully have big games in the upcoming weeks as they make a hopeful deep run. I've accepted that your flag is buried in concrete and that you refuse to see how beneficial its been for all parties involved, to have him not starting. A great move by a great Coach to ensure what's best for his players and his team's overall success. The above isn't even anything that can be argued against. Reed has played his absolute best and excelled, as well as the team, with him coming off the bench and how Calipari has used him. We heard ad nauseum after the 2012 Championship that MKG and Davis took the 4th and 5th most shots and how they were drafted where they were. After this year, he has examples of two guys that didn't even start for his team and still be lottery picks (maybe even potentially top 5 picks). Going to make for even stronger recruiting pitches, as well as getting future players to "buy in". Great move for all parties and Calipari deserve a lot of credit that I know he'll never get from certain individuals. I'm okay that you'll never see it differently. It doesn't bother me when others are just blatantly wrong about things.

We've also talked very poorly about the Oline in regards to protection, could probably say the same about run blocking but I'm not an Oline guru to speak further on it. Zach Moss sure didn't seem like a backup with Johnathan Taylor was out. I was sort of hoping they'd snag Aaron Jones, but I'm biased towards him. I think Zach Moss may wind up showing us all that he was quite a bargain at the price they got him.

For me its either: A) Calipari hasn't worked on EOG situations at all and is a bad coach. B) They have and the players just continue to do some things at the end of games and don't listen to the coaching, which multiple players have said throughout post-game interviews (I believe Dillingham and Reaves have both said it throughout the season). I tend to believe Option B is more likely than Option A.

When 2 of the guys you close out games with are freshmen, who have a tendency to have bad turnovers, dumb stuff happens. 7/8 SEC wins is huge.
