You are correct. Below 9th grade cannot be on the field with upper classmen.

It should be decent for Friday night. Before last Friday we played away for 3 weeks and had an open date. It was wet last week but in excellent shape for the start of the game. It got chewed up some around midfield but if it will dry out it should be pretty fast.

Does anyone know what time the game starts? WLGC said 8:00 KSHAA also has game time for 8:00.

Like EE says. Most of us single A schools play our freshman on varsity. My son started as a linebacker his freshman year.

Stats are very misleading for this Raceland team. The offense is very good. But the defense and special teams are also contributing a lot of points on the board. Interceptions run back for a TD. Punt returns and kickoffs also put points on the board. This team is dangerous in many aspects of the game.

Looked really good. The fit was really neat. They need some new pants to go with the jerseys though. They had been using the same style jersey for years. They just replaced them on a rotating basis by giving the seniors their jerseys when they graduated.

Never count any team out till the final second of the clock ticks off. Raceland should be able to come away with another big win. Hopefully the rain will hold off this week and we can see them play on a good field. Rams 46 Greyhounds 7

Easy win for the Rams. As I said in the pregame thread. Big hits all night long. The Rams played a great balanced game. Yes , Caldwell played a great game along with J.T., Clint, Scotty and the rest of the Rams. Scott McKenzie had a couple of smashing tackles. One had 2 Greyhounds limping off the field. Do it again next week guys and show what the Rams are really made of.

The field should be decent at the start and usually holds up pretty well. But it's been raining here since some time last night. There are a couple of low spots where someone may take a swim.

It's all about the kids, not the adults on the sidelines. The more these kids get to play the better.

EKC= Eastern Kentucky Conference. An area conference. It gives bragging rights for member teams.

Having been around football as long as old rambler I agree. Many years we have said, How can we replace what we lost? And next year the boys always step it up and fill the void. You have to remember, we are a small community of around 2500 people. I said 2500 people, not players. Probably 99.0% of the varsity are homebred and have played together since they were 6 or 8 years old. That's why Ram pride runs deep. In some cases your talking 2nd or 3rd generatiion Rams.

Right again. In order for Raceland to prepare they have to play the likes of Ashland,Greenup and other AAA teams. Which is good or bad. You may win or you may get your tail kicked. Oh, by the way I think it may have been expanded around '75.

I agree. Again, the bad part about our district is that Raceland and Fairview are stuck down her in NEKY and really don't have a good read on the other teams down state and the level of competition that they face. We look at who plays who, but it's not local. So that makes it tough.

One thing I would like to see is a district that is more competitive. Our district usually has 2 or maybe 3 dominant teams. I know LCA as well as Raceland plays a tough predistrict schedule to prepare them for the playoffs. But once into district play the level of competition drops off. It's hard to prepare for those tough games when your playing the J.V. in the 3rd quarter and your Freshman in the 4th.
