Raceland' defense once again plays "lights out" :ylsuper: in the Rams dominating win over the Greyhounds:jump: . I want to give mention to Caleb Caldwell who lead the Rams "Orange Crush" defense tonight. I have no idea how many tackles he had but they were calling his name all night. Great win for the Rams who were up 34-0 at the half and cruised to a 40-8 win. Raceland gets the #2 seed for the playoffs and will play Paris again next friday at Ram Stadium in the first round of the district playoffs. Congrats to the Raceland Rams on a 9-1 regular season.:flame: :flame:

The radio crew were mentioning all night how the Raceland "O" and "D" lines were controlling both sides of the ball and line of scrimmage. Rams special teams and defense each scored a TD again tonight.:thumb: Our ENTIRE defense played great and kept the offense in good field position all night. I believe that Grizz had 3 or 4 more TD passes which would bring his total to around 25 or 26 for the year I think. We (Rams) still had a couple of needless PF penalties, we have to correct those kind of mistakes to get where we want to be. Keep working hard and keep focused Rams, never be satisfied. You have had a VERY good 9-1 season. Now your record is 0-0 and the real season starts.

Easy win for the Rams. As I said in the pregame thread. Big hits all night long. The Rams played a great balanced game. Yes , Caldwell played a great game along with J.T., Clint, Scotty and the rest of the Rams. Scott McKenzie had a couple of smashing tackles. One had 2 Greyhounds limping off the field. Do it again next week guys and show what the Rams are really made of.

Wow, I bet Paris can"t wait to come back next week.

Another solid team game by the Rams. Grizzle had 3 TD's on the night pushing his total to 25. As Oldrambler & The Greatest Fan stated, Rams played excellent defense with some crushing hits & great special teams play. Jacob Sparks did an excellent job on the kickoffs. Penalties have to be a concern. I am sure they will go to work on Monday and correct the problem.

I just recieved a pm and update on Tyler Boyles of the Rams. He was injured in the 1st qtr. and tried to "walk it off" so to speak but the injury (Knee) became worse. Sweling got pretty bad and he was unable to walk on it. He was taken to the hospital, I will update if I hear anything else. If anyone else hears anything please post updates. Prayers go out for Tyler Boyles.

You think he has been watching film of Pete? He has continued to improve as the season has progressed. His kicking has been a big plus for the Rams defense.

:thumb: :thumb: Spark's kicking certainly has been a plus. "he ain't Pettry but he ain't bad". For that matter, I have NEVER seen a kicking talent like Pettry at any time out of this area! Rams are very glad to have Sparks kicking the football for us. This kid is more than capable of kicking mid range FG's consistent and that could come in very handy in the upcoming playoffs.:thumb:
