Actually, the participating coaches could vote to adjust the schedule. They tried a few years back, but couldn't get it passed. I know the 32nd district coaches do not like the semifinals on Monday and Finals on Tuesday. It is very hard on the students and fans to make that drive 2 nights in a row on school nights.

Grant plays hard. They did a good job of keeping it close last night. Game was tied at 34 and Grant had the ball on 2 different occasions but couldn't convert. Gallatin hit their FT's to create the final margin.

I am not surprised that Owen won, but i am surprised by the margin! That has to hurt Walton going into the postseason.

I feel sorry for whoever gets the 6th/7th region officials! They will let you bang!! If you are a small team you will have no chance to beat a bigger school because they will physically beat you up and the refs won't call fouls.

Since you all pounded them in December i think they have only lost 2 games in state and one of those was on a blown call.

Sometimes teams can have addition by subtraction! With Kinmon leaving the team and Mosier getting hurt, Coach Trame now has less options to choose from. This allows players to stay on the floor longer and get into a better rhythm. It looks like this might be the case hear, because Helton and Mauvis have both been playing better.

I love this thread. I have attended every year since 1996. I attended a few as a kid, but started attending regularly in 1996. I started taking my son in 2003 when he was 6 years old. He hasn't missed one since and now we take my daughter also. We make it a family affair!

I hate hearing these comments about Coaches not doing their jobs! What exactly is their jobs anyway. The first thing they have to do is be a teacher from 7:30-3:00 every day!!! They have to prepare their practice plans and get their own teams ready. Then we expect them to scout every time an opponnent plays??? When do they have time to do that? Then if they send someone else, who are they sending? Do they really know what they are seeing when scouting??? These are high school coaches not professional coaches. They have other job duties and just can't spend all day on nothing but coaching. I think to many people forget that fact.

I am assuming that Sawyer Williams outplayed Rowan from North? Bad week for the 29th District and a great week for the 31st! Gallatin beats South Oldham and Owen beats North Oldham. Let's hear it for the small schools! This Regional tournament is up for grabs!!!

I thought Rehring should have touch the ball on the blocks more for Pendleton. I would have got him some more touches in the post to see if he could score or get easy opportunities for shooters if they doubled. I also was surprised that Pendleton didn't run many plays for Monroe. The only plays they ran for him was when they spread it out or went flat and let him drive. This allowed Grant to get in good help position.

Big win for the Braves. Bad loss for the Wildcats. It appeared to me that Pendleton County players and staff were not prepared for Grant County and underestimated them.

Whatever the decision is it should be the same for every district in the state. We should not have some that seed and some that draw! That is what is not fair. I can tell you sitting in a room waiting to draw the pill is extremely nerve wracking! The district meeting when seeding is pretty boring. Drawing generates excitement and gives everyone a chance. However, having bad teams in the regional tournament doesn't make for good basketball games at the regional tournament.

I agree they were not afraid of him penetrating and scoring.
