  1. In many cases, baseball and softball coaches maintain their own fields, especially the infields.
  2. I was surprised by the large Yankee fan base there last night. They thought they had the game won after scoring in the 11th. It was so nice to see the Reds shut them up in the bottom half.
  3. He absolutely did. He thought they won it as he forgot the Yankee's scored in the top half. He should have scored the game winner on the wild pitch.
  4. Just saw the replay. He pointed to the ump and said something right after he covered home on his errant flip to the catcher on the bases clearing single. Umpire immediately ejected him.
  5. The tournament kicks off on Monday at Thomas More (Y'alls) Stadium. Highlands vs CovCath at 10 Dixie vs Ryle at 1 Beechwood vs St Henry at 4 Conner at NewCath at 7
  6. Kicks off tomorrow, I believe.
  7. They've got incoming seniors Golsby, Linville, and Morris returning. Not sure if Brzygot and Gray will get any offensive snaps as they're back as starting DBs. Will likely see some incoming juniors in Vonderhaar, Waters, and Wogenstahl (TE). As mentioned, protection will be key as I see them opening the offense up even more this year as they don't have Armani back in the backfield. They will have some capable backs, but not quite like Armani. With Mason's skill set, you almost have to open up the offense.

Ludlow’s football field is now under water.
  9. Only threw 57 pitches with 1 walk and 4 Ks in 5 innings of work.
  10. In the first round, he was introduced on the court to present an award, and he was loudly booed.
  11. He was there. He stayed in the walkway between the stands and the scorer's table/benches. He was taking pics and/or recording the trophy ceremony on his cell phone. He just never stepped on the floor to congratulate anyone prior to the cutting of the nets as I left at that point. As mentioned probably a good idea considering the circumstances, but he was definitely there and looked very happy about the win.
  12. We did keep an eye on the principal after the game. He stayed off the court away from the team taking pictures on his phone. We didn't see him walk onto the court to congratulate anyone as it looked like he was keeping his distance. We left when they were getting ready to cut down the nets, so not sure if he came onto the floor after that.
  13. I don't know where else he'd play. He's not quick enough to play the wing.
  14. Cooper jumped out quickly and never looked back. IMO, the player of the game was #3 Combs. He battled on the defensive end and kept Walker in check the entire game. I hope Walker succeeds at South Carolina, but he has a lot to work on to be able to handle the bigs in the SEC.
  15. It’s $250,000 for this school year.
  16. He just signed a 3 year extension less than a year ago in a very controversial vote which made him the 5th highest paid superintendent in the state while overseeing 1 school campus.
  17. Something doesn't pass the smell test here.
  18. She was in there for about 10 seconds on the one possession. They then went to a timeout, and the official was talking to her as she walked over to the bench. We think she may have said something (or the coaching staff noticed and said something during the timeout), because at that point forward, she was getting in and out of the lane quicker. They could have run that high-low with her and Greene all night long if they wanted to.
  19. Highlands should’ve went to Berry sooner and more often. When she got good positioning down low, NDA couldn’t stop her.
  20. Cooper started the game on fire from the outside. I believe 6 of their first 7 field goals were 3’s. Once Dixie defended the perimeter a little tighter, Cooper struggled a little with the mid-range shots that let Dixie dig back in some. However, down the stretch every time they made a stop, they couldn’t get a bucket. A lot of close shots missed by the Colonels.
  21. New details coming out which could lead to other means of death. It sounds like they have been dead for days. The front door was found open. There were 2 additional dogs, 1 inside and 1 outside that were both alive. The dead dog was found in a closet in the bathroom. Pills were found next to his wife's body.
  22. Availability of Rupp. Girls are there this year the week after their regionals, then NCAA 1st and 2nd round, and finally the boys that following weekend.
  23. It plays a bigger factor in Division 3 than 2 or 1. But my understanding is the rule is in place because some schools/programs do not allow 6th graders to play on their 7th grade teams, so these kids would have no where to play.
  24. The NKYFL uses age, not grade. For example, my son has classmates spread across 3 divisions due to their birthdays. There is an exception in the Junior division where 12 year olds that are 6th graders can play in the Junior division with the 11 year olds (and 10 year olds for the smaller division teams that have a combined 10 and 11 year old team).
