RIP Popeye Doyle / Coach Norman Dale / Lex Luther

He was found in his NM home with his wife (63) and his dog also having passed.  Seems odd, but police say no foul play is suspected.  Will have to follow this to see what they determine.

If all are found dead at the same time, without any evidence of harm, it screams of a carbon monoxide leak.

And I think it is suspicious and agree the carbon monoxide theory is strong one. 

New details coming out which could lead to other means of death.

It sounds like they have been dead for days.  The front door was found open.  There were 2 additional dogs, 1 inside and 1 outside that were both alive. The dead dog was found in a closet in the bathroom.  Pills were found next to his wife's body.  

Interesting from the locker room at gym where Hoosiers was filmed. I liked seeing some of the jersey's from our Kentucky schools.

Putting on my, admittedly horrible, police cap.  Perhaps he fell and died from that (or maybe he fell due to heart failure or something else health related) and she was distraught and made the irrational decision to join him in the after-life?   I guess we will have to await the police report.

The more we find out the more suspicious the deaths appear. 

Now we are learning the wife was partially mummified.

So weird and no telling how long each of them were dead before being found.

Sad for sure...

This feels like a suicide pact to me...

Yeah, maybe Gene passed away and the wife took her own life, or something close to that, ugh.

That's been my thoughts from the get go. People are very attached to animals and if the German Shepherd was in poor health or older I could see her giving the dog pills as well. Sad that she didn't feel she had anything else to live for if that is what happened.

They discovered the bodies in response to a wellness call from neighbors (I think that is what I read.) So they could have been deceased for quite a while before the call was even made.

I heard part of a report that said Gene's pacemaker last did something on the 17th of Feb.  I think I have that right.
