Simply one of the best actors to ever live. Rest in peace.

Although I was not sure on the cause of death, I'd suspected she'd suddenly passed of something and Hackman was left behind not capable of supporting himself, being 95 years old.

Sad deal all the way around.

Reading up on Hackman, he didn't break into Hollywood until later in life (late 30s). The French Connection, he was in his early 40s.

"Gene Hackman died of causes related to cardiovascular illness and was probably alive for several days after his wife, Betsy Arakawa, died of a rare disease in their secluded mountaintop home last week, investigators announced Friday, answering lingering questions in the once-mysterious deaths of the couple."

Hackman was great in essentially everything he did. My favorite roles of his were in Unforgiven, The Conversation, and The Royal Tenenbaums.
