Harrison Co at 29-5 is fundamentally very sound….but, they have are a little short in pitching depth to be the favorites in a 3 day Regional tourney.  Got to feel like the Championship game will be them against the Camels which has superior pitching depth.

Scott did beat HC this season and has a few solid arms. GRC can also be tough. It’s a really tough draw for HC. Campbell County got a great draw and I would say they are probably the favorite.

Agree on the Camels, but HC will advance using #3 or 4 against Augusta saving #1 Vaughn to go against GRC.  I think that will be enough to get them past GRC into the Championship game.  Could be wrong.  Beechwood did beat Vaughn with multiple extra base hits including a bomb by Fryman.

Harrison County over Augusta 12-2.

GRC over Scott 6-5.

Campbell County over Nicholas County 16-1.

Heard the end of the GRC/Scott game wasn’t pretty due to some unhappy Eagle fans regarding the umpiring. Any truth to this? 
 

 

Saw on twitter that GRC's starting pitcher was ejected in the 2nd inning.  I was not there nor have any other info but if that was the case my assumption is that might have also been a little issue with the home plate umpiring?

Big nothing-burger.  Calls both ways both sides didn't like.   Ejection was pretty quite.  I was about as close as you could be without being inside the fence & didn't realize what happened until GRC was putting a new pitcher in.

Scott's starting pitcher has a bad outing.  Needed to be better in a big game.  He has 3 more years of causing havoc on opposing batters. Some untimely errors.  Definitely a game that Scott should have won.

Just saw the replay.  He pointed to the ump and said something right after he covered home on his errant flip to the catcher on the bases clearing single.  Umpire immediately ejected him.

I know what he did, by looking at the video.  But in the moment, there was not a lot to it.

Anybody know if the 10th has been postponed until tomorrow.  On family vacation and can find nothing out.

Ejections in a regional tournament should never be a “nothing burger.”   I am hoping the umpire used other means to de escalate before ejecting a pitcher.

My "nothing burger" was in response to @BrosefStalin's post that I quoted.

There was nothing to "de-escalate".  If you've seen the video, the words that go with it are "Those runs are on you".
