Bourbon County Colonel senior quarterback Clay Bolin broke his own school-record for most passing yards in a game. Bolin completed 34 of 51 passes for 425 yards and 4 touchdowns during Bourbon’s 42-35 victory over George Rogers Clark Friday night. In doing so, Bolin becomes the first QB from the City of Paris to throw for over 400 yards in a single game. Bolin’s previous record was 341 yards against Southwestern earlier this season. Also, sophomore receiver Tyler Whetstine broke the school-record for receiving yards in a game. Whetstine had 160 yards receiving and two touchdowns, including the game winning 75-yard TD reception against GRC. The previous record was set by Charles “Snoop” Johnson (155 yards).

I know some are repeated but the schools I miss seeing are Harrodsburg, Maysville, Richmond Madison, Paris Western, Georgetown, Elkhorn City and Mt. Sterling!

Maybe someone needs to talk to the coaches around this state, or just do away with the Coaches Preseason Poll altogether... heck, most of them go by what has happened in the past and not the future!

The Lexington Herald Leader's Preseason Coaches' Poll had them ranked No.2 behind Beechwood.

Actually, the last time Paris beat Frankfort was 1998. And no disrespect to Robinson because you hate for any kid to get hurt in any sport on any level, but Paris, from the time Robinson was in the game, had his number. Up until his unfortunate injury, Robinson had a total of 5 carries for a (-5) yards. Before the two teams met Saturday night, nearly everyone was saying how much Frankfort would blow away Paris, but now that Paris has won, nobody is given the Hounds credit. Hey, Frankfort lost to a good football team. I saw the Hounds dismantle LCA, who just completely destroyed Williamsburg and they showed that they are for real in knocking off Frankfort. They will be a tough out in the playoffs if they too can stay away from the injury bug! Remember, Paris was playing without their starting quarterback and they too had several new coaches on their staff! Frankfort has a great Coach and he’ll get them prepared for Paintsville this week and I wish Coach Craig Foley and the Panthers the best of luck the rest of the season and wishing for a speedy recovery for Robinson. Hold your head up high Frankfort and despite what people are saying on here, you lost to a very good football team and you shouldn’t be ashamed of that! #parispride

Wow, and Williamsburg was ranked No.2 in Class A. Heck, I saw LCA last week agianst Paris and the Greyhounds dominated them ... either Paris is really good or Williamsburg really bad?

Paris returns their entire starting five and their top eight out of 10 players! This team could be scary ... don't overlook them! If there are ten teams in this region that will be better than Paris next season, then next year's 10th Region could loaded!
