Berea didn't make the playoffs in 1A!

If Baker's not in the lineup, then I believe Bourbon County will win ... Heck, if Baker's in the lineup, I still believe Bourbon County will win!

Halftime: Paris 28, Bethlehem 7

Paris now on top 28-7 with less than a minute to go in the half!

Bethlehem grabbed the early 7-0 lead ... but Paris has roared back to take a 20-7 lead.

That would be correct but what is odd is the fact that the KHSAA has not notify Paris according to their AD!

According to the KHSAA website, the Paris Greyhounds will not be playing a playoff game next week and have already moved into the second round. This means that Paris would've played only one game in nearly four weeks by the time they play either Fairview or Nicholas County on November 13th. The next question ... is Paris the only team in the entire state that will not play a first round playoff game?

A few things I can tell you about Bourbon County, they have the potential and the athletes to sneak up on someone and they have a really good coaching staff. If I'm Ashland, I wouldn't look past them by no means or they could very well be the team exciting the post season early!

Can this be confirmed somewhere?

Let's not forget that just a year ago, Paintsville was blistered by Pikeville in the regular season 62-8 but Paintsville came back in the playoffs and stunned Pikeville 30-6! Not saying it could happen with Berea and Paris but I'm pretty sure people were saying the same thing a year ago about Paintsville having any chance at all of beating Pikeville!

A year ago, Paris High School had an athlete that was a star in five sports. Very rare that you get kids to play one or two sports … but five? Jamaal Washington was a key returner and receiver on the football team; was an all-region goalie on the soccer team; led Paris to the district title in basketball by scoring 26 points against GRC in a semifinal upset; ran anchor on the Hounds' 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams; and was the ace pitcher on the Greyhound baseball team!

That would be Nicholas County in District 5!

It may not be simple but if Phelps has already pulled out of their district then at least make that public!

The way I see it, the KHSAA needs to tell Paris High School something. Make it official that Phelps is out for one and then let them know that Berea will or will not take Phelps' place. I really don't understand what they are waiting on ... it's that simple!

Brossart scored on a 78 yard bomb on the opening play of the game to move in front 7-0! Paris answered with a 10 play, 62 yard drive to tie it at 7-7!

Yeah, it may be tough for Paris against Fairview, Paintsville or Raceland but what people are missing here, it's not going to be easy for one or two of those teams beating Paris in Paris! If Fairview, Paintsville or Raceland thinks Paris will be an easy out in the second round, then they'll be the ones returning home with an "L"!
