Seems like Rez, Papa, & I are thinking a lot alike.

As I see it, 4 of the top 5 teams are locks. The 3 Mason County teams and the Montgomery County team. You can make cases for how they're ordered, but those 4 have to be there IMO. Maybe 4 other teams are vying for the fifth spot. The 2005 Pendleton County team that Papa mentioned is one of them. I went back and forth with between them, Fleming, & the GRC team Rez has at #5 .

Same with the players. I see 4 of them as locks: Lofton, Miller, Prewitt, & Knowles. Again, there can be disagreement on the order, but I think those 4 are set in stone. The fifth spot is open to about 3 or 4 other players.

Great topic, though. :thumb:

Still think if Wes Jones plays in that 04 championship game, Mason wins that state title as well.

I'd like to think so, but would have been a tossup. Jones was the only guy on that team that could have guarded Brock Whitney in the championship game.

This maybe true but if Leroy Wilson (who went to Kentucky to play football but was a dominant inside player on the glass, offensive and defensively) hadn't got dismissed from the Warren Central program during the district or region cant remember which in 2003 it is easy to say they would have won the state title in 2003.

Both programs Warren Central and Mason County had key players dismissed at unfortunate times but both ended up with state titles so it washes out. Wilson was just as good of a high school player as Jones if not better,

Yeah, I felt confident in my top 4 on both sides. For the teams, I had 2005 Pendleton 6th. For the 5th player I considered a bunch of guys.
