I don't think anyone doubts Coach Petett, and if they are that would be a mistake. The challenge that Coach Petett is faced with now is what can he expect from his players come game time? He knows more than anyone what his players are capable of and when they don't perform up to the standard they’ve set for themselves it would have to be frustrating for a coach whose game plan depends on that production. Monroe's problems are simple and can be fixed by 76 young men giving a 100%, everything else will take care of it self...

I agree about the backfield... I don't think we’re getting 100% and that's very unfortunate... I would like to see what Colby could do at FB and Dillon could do at TB with help from Chad Wilson. If we continue to run half speed and dance in the hole then a deep playoff run is out of the question... My observations from last night, -Defense played well, but the DE's still need improvement. -A 4-4 defense is probably not the best defense against double TE's and I formation, IMO you need more meat on the line of scrimmage in that situation... -Offense once again didn't show up, the bright side of that is they've forced the defense to play lights out, if both units can get it going at the same time, we could be dangerous... -Please throw the footballs we currently use away, I have never seen a team struggle so bad to throw a wet football, in my opinion a leather ball would help... -It's already been said, but we've got to get the football in some other player’s hands, the lack of production at key positions has crippled our offense, and thus crippled our team... I honestly believe that we'll get it going now that the regular season is over and the real season begins, I hope these guys understand that this ride will be over in a blink of an eye and they better seize the moment and make the most of it. I see no reason this team can't repeat as Regional Champs, but it's going to take more than what they have given the last 4 games...

I said St. X strictly because of numbers (I assumed St. X has the most players), I think the best plan would be start the freshman and hope that Oakland would sprain their ankles tripping on the body’s scattered all over the field, then St. X could put their starters in and maybe have a chance if no more than 6 Raiders were left standing on good ankles...:lol:

Tough loss to swallow... Green was no doubt the better team last night. Monroe's offense really hurt the Falcons, only gained 150 yards of offense and turned it over too many times, one for a TD... One more thing that bothers me is how we run the ball so passively, running the football isn't an art form like ballet or tap, it should be done at full speed and your movements should be aggressive... BTW, I still think the Falcons can make it to Ft. Campbell, but the road just got a lot tougher...

I hope FC pours the whole 55 gallon drum on the Aces, the only thing that would make seeing OC get thrashed sweeter would be if it was my Falcons doing it...

A few facts about the Game, Green Co. seniors will be playing for their 2nd district championship Monroe Seniors will be playing for their 3rd, neither Green nor Monroe has graduated a class that has achieved that before. Monroe County's seniors are 2-2 vs Green. Green has scored 289 and given up 156, Monroe has scored 262 and given up 131...

It's no secret these teams don't get along and to be honest there’s no team I dislike more than Green County and I'm sure many of their fans feel the same way. I look for this game to be a dog fight and a very hard hitting affair, I feel like controlling the tempo of the game will be critical to the outcome, Green is not as one dimensional as last year IMO but I don't think John Stone (QB for Green) is near the threat to run as their QB was last year, so in a lot of ways their similar to last year’s team... I feel like Monroe is the better team and will get the win, however there is very little room for error against this team and Monroe will have to play solid for four quarters to get the win, I really liked the second half against Glasgow, Monroe showed some stuff that can really help get a sometimes stagnant offense going, if they run several sets out of that offense I can see Green having a hard time stopping it and it should open some other stuff up. Monroe Co. 7-1 and ranked 5th in 2A will host Green Co. 6-2 and ranked 9th in 2A will square off on Friday night at Darrell Carter Stadium in Tompkinsville for the district championship and home field advantage thought the regional playoffs. Who do you think will win and why?

The first half was nice because it gave Glasgow hope... The second half was even better because it crushed any hope they had...

Ft. Campbell’s schedule passes the look test, it's not their fault those teams aren’t up to par...

IMO Glasgow will beat Metcalfe putting them third in the district which will put them most likely playing Danville, IMO Glasgow will beat Danville...

Good win against Glasgow... Senior class graduates with a 3-2 record against Glasgow, they will now play for the chance to win their third district title... Good luck to the Glasgow players that are injured...

Green has a lot of work to do this week... Maybe Coach Petett can give them an edited game film like they did us last year...

Heard Coach Griff on their post game show tonight and I definitely agree with him on one thing Monroe doesn't like Green very much...Wonder why?

BTW, the National Guard unit of Tompkinsville will be hosting all past football alumni from Tompkinsville, Gamaliel and Monroe in the hospitality room above the locker room, from my understanding the alumni will also be invited down to the locker room for the pregame speech...

^These seniors are currently 2-2 vs. Glasgow in their varsity years so this game is big to break the tie and graduate with a winning record vs. Glasgow. I hope they know how long the joy of beating Glasgow will last and how important it is to the people of this community, with many of them working in Glasgow I'm sure it would make next Monday fun...
