  1. 1) Beechwood 2) Mayfield 3 through 10...who cares. It will be either Beechwood or Mayfield to win it all this year.
  2. I definetly recommend coming up May 12th. It's the Holmes tournament at Covington Sports Complex. There should be around 16 teams playing throughout the day on 4 different fields within walking distance of eachother. Great day to watch some fastpitch softball. If anyone wants to come and needs directions P.M me.
  3. :thumb: Good luck. I'll be pulling for you guys.
  4. I was talking about besides that loss. With Ryle and CCH it's a toss up.
  5. Good win for the Indians. I left the game when CCH was up 1-0. Both teams did indeed pound the ball. While it may sound like a pitcher's duel, the ball just wasn't going anywhere on this day.
  6. This was a slugfest. I believe Matt Rice of Holmes got his first ever varsity homerun adn a player from Bellevue had 2 homeruns. Can't think of his name right now.
  7. Good win for the Tigers.
  8. Ryle has been the most consistent team in the 9th IMO. Their only nky loss is to Highlands if I'm not mistaken.
  9. I didn't see it...thanks FC.
  10. Allen might be one of the most underrated players in NKY. Everytime I hear about Highlands or read about them in the paper, there his name is.
  11. Can't beleve there's not a thread for this already. Junior MAtt Bonder singled in Joe Sullivan in the bottom of the 7th to give the Indians the win. Ryan gets the win for HC.
  12. Big win for the Raiders. Does this lock up the #1 seed for them?
  13. Here is Ryle's schedule for those of you wanting a chance to see Allen.. 14. Allen is absolutely the real deal. And I'm sure you'll get a chance to see her sometime soon. They'll (barring a HUGE upset) be playing down state at the end of the year.
  15. Beat me to it. :madman: I have seen Allen a couple times this year and she is just overwhelming at the high school level. One thing that makes her so tough is not only does she throw hard but she's also 6'1. So instead of throwing from 43 feet, it really looks like she's coming from about 37.
  16. How are the Shining Stars doing?
  17. The teams both CCH and Ryle lost to were very solid baseball teams and all top 20 teams. The only questionable loss I have for Ryle would be Highlands, but that isn't looking so bad now, as Highlands is really getting on a roll and beating some other good teams. Remember, anything can happen in baseball. Just like I believe 3 years ago when not only did Holmes beat Covcath in their district seeding game, but Ludlow won the district.
  18. This score is ridiculous. No team deserves to be beaten this badly. I can remember playing high school ball and we were up 21-0 in the 3rd inning. Our coach pulled all of the starters out and sat us all on the bench and told the freshman team to come finish the game (who played a night game after ours) and told everyone who batted they better not look for a walk and swing no matter where the pitch is even if it's 2 feet over our head or bounces to the plate.
  19. Covcath will be loaded the next couple years pitching wise.
  20. I'd take Maile simply because Maile has done impressive things against better competition. Both are solid, but I'd give Maile the slight advantage at this point. One thing to think about as well, is Maile is younger than Farris but still doing the same, as well as better things both offensively and defensively.
  21. Very nice win for the Bluebirds. Seems like they're finally putting together consistent ballgames.
  22. :thumb: Profitt is probably a better ball handler and quicker, but Hill is a better slasher and rebounder. Either way they're both nice players.
  23. Exactly. Here are just a few names who have left Holmes after Middle school or during high school career. 07 Class- Mike Hester- Starting Point Guard SK Charles Johnson- Leading Receiver in football and basketball player for Lloyd Nate Edmondson- Top 10 player in NKY for Gallatin Co Ryan Luster- Another top player for the Ryle football team. Would have been a lot better at basketball had he practiced and stayed at Holmes If you add those 4 to the Holmes group from this past year....Wow. But things happen so we can't think of what could have been.
  24. [QUOTE=Log Mountain Boy]Couldn't agree anymore there. And Profitt is a good ball player, don't get me wrong...I just don't think he's as good as advertised. I think it depends on who is evaluating him. Ive heard a lot of people who arent very high on him. I believe in his class he is a top 5 or 6 player. 1. Walls 2. Pettigrew 3. Beckham 4. Brooks 5. Rice 6. Proffit 7. Hill 8. Anderson 9. Coleman (maybe higher, I havent seen him play) 10. Beaumont I can live with Profitt bein top 10. Where he falls though? I'd personally take Hill over him but some might say that's just me being biased so I'll put him and Hill as a 6a and 6b. :thumb:
