Another win for the Birds. Towles pitched for the Birds with Allen coming in for relief. Dickman and Nichols pitched for Dixie. While Dixie out hit the Birds 9 hits to 4 hits, the Birds 4 hits were key, with Allen going 2 for 3 with 2B, HR and 4 RBI's and Rawlings was 2 for 3. Next up for the Birds is Milford on Friday.

Gosh, I hope that's right. The rules about how many games in a tournament count for are always changing it seems like. I hope Coach J. is sure about that. We got our knuckles busted a couple of years ago for playing too many games in soccer, and I'd hate to have something like this take the luster of what has been a fantastic season.

And as one of the relatively few senior starters on the team, he (along with the other seniors) are providing great leadership. I would have to say the Birds have one of the most dramatic turnarounds going on this year in the state.

Since the Doc was a single-elimination tourney, it counts as one game. If its a tourney that is not single elimination, it counts as 2 unless you play more than 4 games then you add an additional game for each game over 4.
