Very nice win for the Bluebirds. Seems like they're finally putting together consistent ballgames.

How was the fan turnout for the game? I saw some advertisements that there was going to be some pre-game activities for the youth teams in the area.

Pretty good crowd. I'd guesstimate there were 20-30 kids from the different little leagues and knothole organizations.

 

Kids got drinks and hot dogs and got to go on the field and get some autographs from some of the players. My son had a good time. We had to leave for soccer practice after the first inning.

 

Before we left, we got to see Pat Allen crush his HR over the right field fence. Great Shot!

I saw the article, very nice. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you build your high school programs through youth programs. Get the kids excited about your sport. Build a relationship with them. Let them know who you are and they'll be your next "stars".
