Hate to see this for the Bulldogs. Expectations of the fans must go wayyy down before a new winning program can be rebuilt in Louisa. Whoever is HC must be given time to rebuild from the ground up without the infighting and grumbling of those that insist on a winner. :cry:

The most amazing thing in this game is points scored... Figured this would be a 14-7 type affair !!!

Paintsville could not control Daniel Harmon. Don't have final stats, but he hit the 100 yd. mark shortly after halftime. The "QB under center" Panther offense definately better suited to a wet and slick field.

uh... there are NO casual EKY fans within 1 1/2 hr. of Louisville. We've always had to make a long trip for the Finals. It's a percentage thing. From my home (within 20 mins. of WV state line), 4 1/2 hrs. to BG isn't that much more than the 3 1/2 hr. it takes to get to Louisville. The drive may be 2-3x as far for NKY fans to BG as it is to Louisville, but frankly, you folks in the "golden triangle" have been spoiled a very long time in having the event so close for so long. :bunny:

Just how much more "recognition and success on the state level" is there in 4A vs. 3A ?? Judging from the message boards, a team would have to be 5A or 6A and come from NKY or Louisville to get more recognition than they otherwise would. :sssh:

Seems to me this would give the defense a pass on contact with the holder when the kicked ball is touched... "b. The defense touches the kick near the kicker and contact is unavoidable."

If the idea to pick the easiest class in which to win a Title, Russell should stay right where it is. :sssh:

And there's also a judgement aspect to the call - it must be intentional. If an engaged defensive player trips over a falling/fallen offensive player, it is NOT a chop.

Prestonsburg simply had Pikeville overmatched... The coaching staff has taken the team back to traditional P-burg basics as the Blackcats kept it on the ground all night and played tight base defense. Other than one breakout Harmon run of 35-40 yds., the Panthers had trouble moving the ball. :thumb:

I'm pleased you're not making the same negative chop blocking assertions against HC like you did vs. Beechwood's previous opponent. Perhaps you have difficulty judging the "free blocking zone" ?? Blocks below the waist are allowed on the LOS (it's a legal technique to seal the DE and/or OLB when running wide).
