Prestonsburg simply had Pikeville overmatched...

 

The coaching staff has taken the team back to traditional P-burg basics as the Blackcats kept it on the ground all night and played tight base defense. Other than one breakout Harmon run of 35-40 yds., the Panthers had trouble moving the ball.

It sure seems like Prestonsburg has returned to mid-1990's form. That is good to see (as a fan of Eastern KY football).

It's shaping up to be a great regional final between Prestonsburg and Corbin. They game would be played in Corbin which certainly is a disadvantage for the Blackcats.

Pikeville is not an upper tier class A team this year.

I agree, they are no where close to the teams Pikeville has fielded in past years. The one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb about the Panthers, is their tackling ability[or lack there of].

 

The worst I've seen from a Pikeville team in over 20 years.
