Who do you like in this one, being played at Bob Miller field on the 13th?

I agree with NKSL, it was one of the hardest collisions I've ever seen in a high school game. As I said in an earlier post, they weren't both lucky they were more seriously hurt. CCCCRRRRRRRUUUNNCCHHHHHHHHH.

Brown and Bishop collision occured just as the runner had gotten clear. Bishop was the last person who really had a chance to get the runner. I was along the fence as well.

Another great game for Brandon Griffin of the Camels, over 100 yards receiving and the interception runback for a TD just before halftime to seal the win for the Camels. It was definately one of the hardest collisions I have seen on a high school field between Brown and Bishop. They were both luck they weren't seriously injured. Camels cannot let up with three district games left and I am sure the Staff will remind the players of just that.

I agree they stepped into a mess much the same as Coach Styer did in Camel land his first season. Yes I believe the new district the Mustangs would be in, would include the teams you listed. The balance of the schedule could be with anyone they chose to schedule. Hopefully much thought will go into that decision and as you say, their hearts will not override the wiser choice for at least another season when your numbers will improve.

I agree that some of the Camel faithful were blowing their horn too soon after those first two games. One district game doesn't determine if you will make the playoffs. Fortunately for the Camels there are still six more left and hopefully there will be a playoff game in Alexandria this year. Ryle won the district last year and looks capable of repeating after all of those Camel turnovers they took advantage of in earning their victory last night.

No backhanded comment intended. Just interested in the makeup of the team and the competion they were playing. I agree with APNW in that another year of JV or a non district schedule would do their program more good than getting manhandled by district varsity teams most weeks next year. Mustang, how do you feel about the football Stangs playing a varsity district schedule next year?

Are the Mustangs playing mostly freshmen? I saw they won their game against the New Richmond freshmen team today. If they are, then they are having a very good year, winning two games, while losing to Holy Cross's freshman. You can't expect freshman to beat JV teams. If they are playing sophomores and juniors or even seniors then their wins over freshman teams aren't much to talk about.

Camels rated 16th in the first AP poll of the year. Probably their highest rating since the 1994 season that saw them lose only twice and both times to Shaun Alexander and Boone County.

I know they lost two weeks ago to Edgewood 33-13. Not sure about last week.

So we have two head coaches that have left the program and no explanation from the school as to why or what's going to happen now? Doesn't sound too organized and bad for the kids who are trying to establish this new program. Maybe Mustang can shed some light on this subject. He seems to be the man in the know on all Brossart sports programs.

I as well, am a Morehead grad and thank God even they finally wised up and got rid of him.
