I guess I was wrong about the "barely" part. I went to the Newport/Mercer game and I thought I remembered the game being much closer than the score. I remember the Mercer fans coming on here claiming there was a new king in 5A too.

Is that the year 2A (I mean 5A) Mercer came in to Newport and barely got out with the win?

Not much. They do play CovCath at the end of the year. Which is better than anything on SK's schedule.

SK needs to step outside of it's comfort zone and test themselves. Amazing how it worked out that they scheduled Highlands during Highlands down years. Just a coinkydink I guess. This should be a good game. I like the Camel's chances. They'll have to play a near perfect game to get the job done, but they're quite capable.

He's not wrong. Schedule is soft SK is struggling to put away teams that they're supposed to be handling with ease(at least that is per their fan base). They're winning, but they're not really all that convincing. Campbell Cty and Ryle are playing some good ball right now.

Relax. I think you're reading my post wrong. It's more of a shot at SK than it is a knock on Beechwood. IF the 6A team is a true state title contender, then no, they should never lose to a 1A school, regardless of how good that school is. Beechwood is very good and should have beaten SK. SK is not a state title contender.

Some of it is the long time bias on here created by a couple different posters who support SK. Even if Beechwood is #4 in this poll, # 1 in 1A and # 18 in CalPreps, a good (supposedly state title contender) 6A team should not have struggled to beat the tigers. Deserved or not, SK probably won't ever catch a break on here. That's the way it will be as long as some of their fans post outlandish predictions and fail to recognize facts present by other posters.

Any coach worth his salt would listen to his players concerns and be able to explain why they should not kneel during the anthem. If they did kneel they shouldn't play. Leave the political statements to those who are old enough to vote.
