Conner won. Congratulations to them. Becker from St.Henry should of been tossed for throwing Hicks? to the ground late in the game. (Even if it was a payback for getting pushed). I think it was just a tech but not thrown out. St.Henry had their chances but took some bad shots late and lost their composure.

I would hate to throw out the wrong name. There were a lot of kids in the area. Lex Cath coach was livid.

Around the 5 min mark of the fourth qtr. Had to take a seat in the front row and was sucking down waters/gatorade. Hopefully it was nothing more than dehydration. Game went on with 2 refs.

Took in this titanic struggle with @Northside. Left with about 3 min to go in the game. Disken should have been the MVP (if they had one for this game). Kid played under control. Was money from the outside. CCH pressed quite a bit. Lex Cath didn't look very good overall. Stood around a lot on offense where you could see CCH with good ball movement and not a lot of wasted time with the ball in their hands. Biggest surprise for me was Green for CCH. Kid really played well. Got on the block, and was a big asset inside. They will have a lot of options when Mayer gets back. A couple other things. Whats up with the uniforms for CCH. Either they need to get a redo from under armour or they threw a big one at LexCath by wearing a practice uniform. One of the kids from CCH could of got tossed for throwing an elbow/fist in a scrum under their basket in the first half. The CCH JV team didn't seem as solid as the past. Will be surprised if the win streak stays intact. Hope the ref is doing ok. He had to take a seat late in the game. He does a great job and hope all is well.

So after looking into things, it looks like this is a triple header with Freshman at 4:30 and JV at 6.

Yes. Remember him getting a bucket. Played a bit with Vieth and Becker in foul trouble. Probably was the 3rd one off the bench. No doubt Kaiser would have helped. (I think he was the second leading scorer for Ryle last night). I do not think he would have started at St.Henry this year, but would have played a lot.

@B-Ball-fan summed it up pretty well. Crusaders looked improved. Vieth and Becker picked up 2 early fouls for each and sat a lot of the first half. Bessler was active and played a nice game, Westerbeck was more undercontrol and was hitting from the outside. Shea played a steady game and found his range as the game went on. I was disappointed in the Crusaders defense. Continuously left shooters open (Walters, Deere and Houston), and took some questionable shots late in the game. I wish St.Henry would of put a little more pressure on the ball out top as Cooper was starting their offense way to low. For Cooper, Walters played a heck of a game. Kid was money from the outside and attacked the basket when available. Houston was active and battled on the boards and won a lot of 50-50 balls. Deere hit numerous open 3 pointers in the first half. Nice addition to the Jaguars. Congratulations to Cooper on the opening night win.

I don't follow the 15th region much, but always look forward to this preview. Outstanding work. Love all the info and putting pics of the top players. Thank you.

Now this is a great region preview. Way to go @ColonelMike. Year to year you put out quality work and it's much appreciated.

From the original post list,out of all these teams, I am most excited to see how Holmes progresses. I think they will be ahead of a lot of these teams on the original list by seasons end. Like most are thinking, CCH should roll. Cooper will be tough, but I can see some ugly games like the distant past (really good defense and at times struggle on offensive flow). Newport should be interesting. Snapp really puts his heart into things. At times in the past I would wonder "do they actually run a set offense"? Dixie, I'm not sold on. Will be interesting to see how things go in year two after Chevalier. Beechwood. Truthfully haven't seen them much but the few times I did last year they took some questionable shots from deep (you could say that about a lot of teams). St.Henry. Should have a nice first group. Cautiously optomistic (I'm a homer). Holmes. Buy in guys. Should be fun to watch. Conner. That is a lot of rebounds for a 6 footer, but I don't think it is close to the all time 33rd district rebound record.
