Hazard names Jordan Amis Head Coach
To be frank, what else is he suppose to say to this though?

Dixie QB Mason Fields commits to Louisville
KEES is capped at 2500 a year MAX, for up to 4 years. That's with a 4.0 GPA and 28+(I think?) ACT. Which, any free money is great but KEES does not go very far at public 4 year schools.

Open Job: Lynn Camp
This seems like an awful tough job to take. Good luck to those who apply and whoever gets it.

Offseason 4: Episode 1 - Tough Topic #1 (Why are there so many open HFC jobs in KY?)
I am not a head coach, but even as just an assistant, the load isn't fun. I cannot imagine being an HC with core content responsibility.

2025 Mr. Football Finalists
Surely we can have AI run this simulation somehow? That would be awesome to determine it lol. (For the record, I am not advocating that we actually decide the award that way.)

2025 KFCA Coach of the Year Finalists - Winner, Brandon Smith (South Warren)
Some of the best coaches in the state went 5-5 with 1-9 talent. Just the nature of the beast.

Boyle’s Smith-Hisel Mr. Football finalist
Boyle just seems to always have studs (shocker to no one, I know). Good for those kids. Not only does Boyle have talent, they work their tails off to be competitive.

Open Job: Hazard
I follow Coach Chandler on twitter, from that perspective (which I know is shown in positive light) it seemed he had things going in a good direction not only from a success standpoint but a culture standpoint as well. Hope the best for him, while I do not know him personally, he seems genuine. Interesting situation in Hazard, to put it kindly.

Open Job: Taylor County
I know, I was just stating my thoughts on not exactly knowing the why. Furthering the topic so to speak.
-
Open Job: Taylor County
I guess it really depends on WHY he missed this. He is young, sure, but we can't just assume he missed for a nonsensical reason. Unless I have all the details, I am not going to hold missing a 7on7 against someone.

Potential Job Openings
It isn't posted on their school website yet. Was it posted elsewhere?

Gloves
The only time I want my receivers trying to catch with their chest is when its cold and wet... It helps some with or without gloves in that instance.

Gloves
I never liked gloves while playing offense, I only used them for defense. Personal preference. Then again, we ran an offense where as a receiver I was only ever blocking and had a better chance to touch the ball playing corner. They help a fair amount! But some brands were worse than just your hands if it was raining at all... Cutters are still the brand I think most highly of, but even the Walmart ones help a bit when conditions are fair.

Open Job: Eminence
The QB of the super's choice? oh.

Open Job: Eminence
After looking at salary for coaches and teachers, I can see why it is hard to keep a coach. Rank 1 teachers would be taking 4-6k pay cut and head coach starting at 6k is pretty low...

Somerset 26 Danville 19
I believe one of the best I have seen with commentary and streaming was Barren County a few years ago. Really well done production and my favorite was that the kids were the ones doing it. Interviews with fans, play by play, the works. I wish all schools did that. Gives kids who aren't wanting to play still be involved and learn a few new skills

Somerset 26 Danville 19
Huge Stoney fan, and hope they pull off the upset, I am just not sure if Danville has the horses yet to compete for 4 quarters, I think Somerset pulls away in the 2nd half. Those young guys may need a couple of years to develop before Danville can make a deep run. But, you never know with Stoney...

Travel
Early in season, if a team is paying lesser comp for them to come play, some teams will get a charter bus to make it easier, as well as leave school early, Playoffs can be similar. I am sure some teams may go the night before and get a hotel for the kids if they can afford it. Usually the team will pay for a "nicer" pre game meal as well. Just in my experience as a coach and player, this was the norm for me.

Potential Job Openings
I had not considered that!

Potential Job Openings
I think a big issue he may run into is, this senior class was supposed to be THE class to get them on a higher level, right?
-
Potential Job Openings
I know Russell County didn't have the season they expected but do you see them letting him go? I know he isn't untouchable but I feel like he has a longer leash than some.

Potential Job Openings
Really good class of seniors that year. Casey doesn't see many classes like that, and then coach turnover (no matter how good those coaches may be) is a negative impact in such a short timespan.

Somerset 49 Washington County 21
I hope the commanders can pull off the upset! But, I see this going Somersets way. 35-21.

Potential Job Openings
The group down there who want to have a good program have been silenced, ignored, and over looked for awhile now... Sadly.

Winner - Which will be the closest game tonight - 10/30/25
Some of these may be close just because neither team can score much... and it isn't due to good defense.
