  1. Its the AAU age. Everyone chases a superteam. Happens every year in every part of the state lol. AAU has destroyed HS ball as it was 10 years ago.
  2. Don't know how deep you are into the 13th gossip but I have heard from 2 different people that your core you mentioned for HC will be less one as that player moves to teamup in London. Time will tell. The region and possibly at deep run will be SL to win or lose---No answers for Mabe, he will be one of the premiere players in state---Rawlings will also be a load from the perimeter. HC will be the best of the rest, unless the move happens, Then look to Pineville. Rumors and realizations from the 13th lol
  3. The entire story is in Larry Vaughts column this morning. It does not mention the non-tenured teachers who he was at odds with who he fired though. An exerpt from the column: So why was Woods not surprised he was fired? Simple. It seems Woods’ wife was on a superintendent search screening committee 10 years ago that did not recommend Neal, a principal in the Wayne system at the time, to be superintendent. “He said then he would get me and he was hired as superintendent in August,” Woods said Wednesday. “He sent one of his assistants to my house today to tell me that my coaching duties had been terminated. Nobody is going to be able to talk to him or call him.”
  4. Per WKYT he has be relieved of duties. Absolute shocker here
  5. Any chance this has something to do with attitude etc? Just asking because I saw him on Twitter a couple days ago asking for a AAU team to pick him up, the only quality player in recent memory to do that was Blake and we all know how that turned out.
  6. The 13th should look like this: 1) South laurel returns everyone but 1 that averaged 2 pts. Pending Mabes knee healing 100% they will be one of the best in the state. 2)Harlan County will be right their with Huff at 17ppg expanding his role and Cotrill stepping up 3)Bell returns everyone with Burnett stepping up to be top player in the region 4)North Laurel returns most of its team and adds a year of experience 5a) Corbin losses a lot but has a decent group returning--no size though 5b) Clay county also lost a lot but should be good 7) Pineville returns its two top scorers but little else 8)Knox central Returns a good young group but loses Chadwell(the top rebounder in state) 9)Jackson County on paper should be higher on this list but they always seem to struggle at times 10)Harlan the graduation of Mcclendon will be tough to overcome but they may surprise.
  7. But as they showed this year, either the players or the coach is not ready for prime time. I thought they would walk thru the 12th this year. Didn't happen lol
  8. Adair should walk thru the region based on this.
  9. Great Crossing and Newport, St X, at the first tier. Henry Clay, Marshall County, South Laurel, bringing up next. Obviously missed a few.
  10. This I can tell you for sure having watched Noah and Perry for Years vs the 2 KY recruits who I have seen on the circuit multiple time---Noah is a better prospect than Perry. Noah(and Perry) are better offensively than either Richmond or Knox. Defensively its not close as Richmond and Knox are lightyears ahead of Noah. The college game demands offense(unless you are Virginia) and in that regard Noah is the best prospect now and in a couple of years. 3 to 4 years hard to say. Noah and Perry are both limited athletically but great shooters. I don't think Perry has the quickness to play PG at UK(he will def be a 4 year) and Noah in my opinion will transfer back home to a WKU etc--hard for a mtn boy to make it in that type of environment in SC. Both KY guys are good kids as I'm sure the other 2 are as well, but Cal seldom recruits shooters unless they are "homegrown" kids that the fanbase gets behind. Richmond is the best longterm Prospect in my opinion(but he is a 3year guy somewhere)
  11. Big win for Lyon. And that has been the knock on GC for the last couple has been guard play. I will admit I am surprised though. Congrats to both teams!
  12. That has been the achilles for the last 2 years, if they had a more efficient PG they would be a lot better team.
  13. Mabe from SL gave him fits in two games. The only player left in the tournament who can slow him down is Godfrey from GC. Just my opinion
  14. Honestly I’ve seen one player slow Trent down this season lol. Too much size with ability for most Ky teams.
  15. Central has always played a physical brand, and Harlan(other than Carter) will not play physical, so 5 fouls is par lol. And Harlan is one of the best 3 shooting team in the state if you back away.
  16. Congrats to HC, as most people said the Championship of the Region was the opening round game with SL by 4-whoever won that game was going to win out. Congrats to Corbin on the runner up finish as well.
  17. If WYMT doesn't broadcast(which they are to my knowledge) you can join the 13thregionmedianetwork on Facebook for the Audio cast.
