Not too familiar with Evangel, know they have 4 seniors and a freshman carrying the work load, some good wins against pretty solid competition. Butler County will be back in this position next year, this will just be a taste for what is to come. The Bears will return everybody, and they have a damn good duo with Price & Rice who are both JRs, very exciting team that looks to score the ball quickly. The fan support the Bears will have at Rupp Thursday afternoon will be electric, especially considering their coming from a community of roughly 12,000. Best of luck to both teams!

GO BEARS!

Morgantown will be closed Thursday for this.

Player Spotlight

Evangel Christian - Kyran Tilley (18 ppg/73 3s) | Christian Doerr (17.3 ppg/56.6% FGs)

The Eagles like to get up and down, with Tilley and Doerr as the offensive catalysts. Tilley's a shot maker that gets'em off from all angles and turns turnovers into points in a blur. Doerr brings a fluid, all-court game to the table that plays well off the kinetic energy of Tilley.

Butler County - Ty Price (29.6 ppg/143 3s) | Lawson Rice (18 ppg/11 rpg/62% FGs)

Price is one of the state's most prolific scorers and three point shooters, tallying nearly 2,000 points over the last two seasons and connecting on more threes this year than anyone not named Travis Perry. He dropped 30+ on the three fellow region champions the Bears played in the regular season. Lawson Rice is a double-double machine and, like Price, an All-3rd Region selection this year.

Butler County starters:

Justin Castlen
Briar Griffin
Ty Price
Trever Dweese
Lawson Rice

Evangel Christian starters:

Christian Doerr
Kyran Tilley
Isaiah Chitapa
Davier White
Ben Mukadi

I think this one gets ugly quick. Butler County not ready for this Evangel team in my opinion. People been sleeping on Evangel all year and they about to find out in this tournament

Trever Dweese starts the scoring with a putback.

2-0 Butler County; 7:25 1Q.

Ben Mukadi basket.

2-2.

Ty Price gets his first basket.

4-2 Butler County; 6:06 1Q.
