Final a big win for the Lyons of Lyon Co. over the #1 ranked team in Kentucky and the #14 ranked team nationally. Lyon was led by Mr. Basketball Travis Perry with 24 points. The Warhawks were lead by Gage Richardson with 16 points and Malachi Moreno with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Lyon Co. improves to 35-3 with the win and moves to the Championship and will play the winner of the Evangel Christian and Harlan Co. game. Great Crossing's great season ends at 36-2.

I’ve said it eleventy billion times.

Basketball is about guard play.

Big win for Lyon. And that has been the knock on GC for the last couple has been guard play. I will admit I am surprised though. Congrats to both teams!

Nothing against Evangel Christian but I would love to see Harlan Co. and Lyon Co. in the finals.

GC loses only two seniors from this squad, twelve and a half points per game between them.

Yes and the big Orem kid who is just an 8th grade will easily step in and take Godfrey's place.

Crickets from Moreno - saddled with four fouls - and Dawson in the 4Q, aside from a Moreno free throw. Crossing could get away with that against lesser teams. Lyon County is a peer.

Neither team went to their bench much.

Great, great season by the Warhawks; see you next year.

Congratulations Lyons; rest up, and see y'all tonight!

I thought he Moreno hid a little bit the last 4 minutes of the game. imo

Also, Burrell and Dawson combined for 5-21 from the floor and 1-10 from 3.

I would also say that most would have thought going into this game that if Travis Perry goes 7-19 from the field and 4-11 from 3 that Great Crossing would win by double figures.
