  1. Not sure Ted watches the games ??‍♂️
  2. Good question. Numbers don't seem to be an issue at the surface. 75 players on the Varsity roster with only 2 Freshman listed.
  3. For what it's worth, if they played this week, Calpreps has it a 2 TD win by Pikeville. 28-14.
  4. I agree with this. I have seen Raceland and Pikeville. I like that they are challenging themselves a bit with their schedules. Raceland is real good on defense while Pikeville seems to be the most well rounded. I have seen NCC and they simply don't have enough. They lost by multiple scores to a bad Campbell County team and the rest of their schedule besides Beecwhood will not not challenge them enough.
  5. Sowder is a junior correct? Why wouldn't he get a look at QB instead of the freshman?
  6. The number was in the mid 30's at beginning of year. Around 35-36 boys and girls.
  7. I know what you mean about the warmups and have noticed that as well. With that said last night, they were warming up before Ryle even came out of the locker room then scored 2 quick TDs after half as part of a 40-6 run that put them up 25 points. They started pulling starters at that point.
  8. Birds vs. CCH Should be fireworks !!
  9. Not sure what this means? Homecoming court was announced and both teams were given extra time to warmup. Some people just like to complain.
  10. As many said, Beechwood too one dimensional. Good thing is they will be fine in 2A.
  11. Not a bad matchup for Rodriguez. Big size advantage and leaves the outside of the field open if Robinson is matching up with a Tight End. I would say BW mixes up the coverages.
  12. This may be a topic for another thread or time but who is the Sophomore? Is there another QB that would replace the current QB at some point this season?
  13. Lots of great points here. #2 was interesting to me as I feel Cov Cath has been run heavy the last couple of seasons. I went back and looked. In 2021, CCH passed the ball 169 vs. 467 rush attempts. So far in 2022, 78 pass attempts vs. 149 rush attempts. I am sure the juggling at QB the past 2 seasons has a lot to do with this but I am not sure CCH has a choice but to go run heavy. Also, I have to believe that many of those pass attempts are screen plays. Expect a lot of unbalanced line, run plays and screens.
  14. I am not sure about the top 10 for HHS either at the moment but I am not as worried about the offensive execution. Post the debacle vs. South Warren since they have settled on some key offensive personnel, the offense has been quite efficient and balanced. Have there been questionable plays and execution? Absolutely, as there will be in every game. Since the South Warren game the Birds are averaging 36 points and 380 yards per game. The QB is 3rd in the state in 5A for passing (Total Yards and Yards Per Game). They have also been very balanced with 99 Pass attempts and 94 Rush attempts. Still a ways to go but they are playing well at the right time. We will know a lot more after this week with Ryle and the district is up for grabs.
  15. I Exaggerated a bit but calpreps did have it as a 14 point Raceland win at one point this week.
  16. This is a shocking score to me? Am I crazy? Don’t answer that?
  17. Calpreps, Lexington Herald and @teeroy had this as an easy win for Raceland. Not a great performance for the Birds but I will take it. Ryle will be a good game next week.
  18. Not sure how big their Frosh team is but they have 14 Freshman on their Varsity roster. 43 Sophomore and above is still strong for 1A.
