I understand your thinking here but on paper, Newport's passing attack is just as good. Lee has more yards and the same amount of TDs as Hayden and Harney combined. Also, with Berger out, you are missing your 3rd leading receiver. I think Beechwood wins this by running clock but not necessarily because of the passing game. I think their Defense will shut down NCC and their rushing attack will still be key. I think teams will be happy if Beechwood airs it out. They have only passed 141 times vs. rushing it 245. Running attack and good D is still Beechwood's bread and butter.

Are the TP94 Ratings weighted by class? With that rating for Beechwood, It would have then favored over every 6A school other than St. X. They are also rated higher than CCH who handled them easily. Just curious.

It is difficult to judge how good NCC is. They haven't had a challenging schedule. The Campbell County loss surprised me a bit. Roger Bacon is a nice win but they are a .500 team this year. This is a big game for NCC in multiple ways. 1) Prove they can hang with a good team and 2) They need the RPI boost if possible to not face Raceland in the semifinals. I think Raceland and Pikeville beat NCC by 3-4 TDs. As @Sweeperboysaid, an upset can happen but having to beat Raceland then Pikeville is virtually impossible for them.

Yes. Impressive last 3 minutes including a kickoff return for a TD. Longest 3 minutes of any game I have seen with 30 combined points being scored ?. This team has a ton of talent just want things cleaned up. Saw helmets being thrown on sideline for example and nothing being done about it.

Same here. CCH is dinged up. Interested to see the other CCH QB play against a good team if Pitzer can't go. Leen should have success running but I think Ryle will put up more points in the end.

Birds vs. Twenhofel was 16-0 with 3 minutes left. Sloppy play. Too many turnovers and penalties. Play calling was similar as we have seen in some of the Varsity games. Passing when they are up late in the game and stopping the clock. Would like to see these kids taught better situational football. Tightest game we have seen this season. The RB and QB for Twenhofel will be good High School players.

Definitely a year by year thing. Potential 5A second round matchups - Cov Cath vs. Freddy D, Highlands vs. Scott Co., Bowling Green vs. South Warren, Pulaski vs. Woodford Co. You will not see that in 4A. If Freddy D and Scott Co. go to 6A and Boyle stays in 4A next year, I think you could make the case that 5A would be preferred. But not this season.
