Birds took care of business, well done. Positioned ourselves well for the real season.

Kind of a weird game. Maybe 45 turnovers? Birds Defense looked tough. Cooper has a bright future, so much young talent on that team.

It was a little weird and I agree there were a lot of positive takeaways from tonight. 

I enjoyed the game.

Congratulations on the continued success on the season to Highlands. Cooper is going to be a team to reckon with the next couple seasons.

I feel like the Highlands offense felt a little off or something? I didn’t see much Hosea, he deserves more touches. Every time they ran Benke up the middle it was good things. Highlands defense was on top of things. Dunn may have had 3 interceptions. Class took one to the house. Homecoming King Woods had a good day on the DLine.

You rarely see a team in football end the game with 5 points.

Birds held them out of the end zone a bunch. Cooper had flashes of big plays but just turned the ball over too much. Watch out for Cooper next couple years though. They have some sophomores that are big time playmakers. 

Congrats to Highlands on the win. Their defense played great, and their offense made just enough plays when they needed it. 
 

Cooper had a lot of turnovers tonight, and when they did have a chance to score or make a big play they  were just a hair off tonight on some of those plays. A good learning experience for a young team. Could possibly see this rematch again in a couple of weeks in the second round. 

Sloppy game. Questionable play calling by Highlands all night. Long halftime. Perfect weather, but by the 3rd quarter, I wished I was watching from a comfortable couch. 

How many touches did Noon have? Not near enough. 

When Highlands gets to the playoffs and finally plays a good team, Noon and Hosea need to be the guys getting the most opportunities. 

On a positive note, the run defense and pass rush looked great.

Hosea needs more touches.  #14 Surrey needs more - I thought he did a great job in Hinegardner's 2 week absence.  Not sure why they aren't using him more too...
