This is just a gut feeling, but I think the Giants panicked when they didn't land Judge. Agreed with Correa and immediately had buyers remorse for that price. Correa opted to go with the Mets who are clearly not worried about money as they try and out Yankee the Yankees.

Correa pulls the midnight stunner and opts to sign with the Mets instead. I think I saw 12 years, $315 mil.

Aesthetically I like them, but the judging only aspect makes them ripe for corruption. Which was exposed in Figure Skating decades ago and I'm sure still continues.

Remove any sport you can see in abundance any year (Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, etc) Remove any sport where the winner is determined solely by judging (Skating, Gymnastics, Diving) Add pickleball.

The only downer to all of this is that every week that passes lessens the chance that Lou Anarumo is coaching here next season. Bengals second half defense this season has been amazing. Talk about a master of making adjustments.

I was hoping Georgetown could build some momentum off their first NCAA tourney in a bit, but they haven't. If Ewing survives the season, I can't see any possible way he is Georgetown's coach come October '23.
