Final wasn't pretty another tale of two halves. Need to start especially next week and heading into the playoffs need to start having complete 4 quarter games. Now I will take 11-4 however just looking for a lot more down the line. Bring on the Bills on Monday night already looking forward to it!

Never seen such an inept team luck themselves into near victory. 

If they had a better record, the narrative would have been the genius of Bill Belicheck.

Agreed it would be nice to play a good four quarter game, and would be a lot less stressful lol.  However, that doesn’t always happen even in the playoffs. The Bengals won the AFC Championship playing just two good quarters. What matters is making the plays when you need to, to win the game. 
 

Plus honestly there was a lot of fluky plays that made this game get like this. A pick 6 on a miscommunication, and then a Hail Mary touchdown on third and long. Not to mention some just great amazing low percentage Catches by the Patriots in the second half. Almost everything that the Patriots needed to happen, happened. Yet the Bengals at the end of the day found away to make a play to win the game, even though all the momentum was with the Pats. That is more impressive to me, and just shows how good of a team we have in the Bengals!

Just went through the update thread. I absolutely hate when people bring up the Bengals of old, which a couple of people referenced in the update thread. The Bengals showed last year and this year that this is not the same old Bengals. Nothing about this team, the players, how the organization even does things is the Bengals of old. People need to get away from that type of thinking. This team is not the team of old, these guys find ways to win! Time to start believing and stop reverting back to the old ways of thinking when watching the Bengals! #theyhavetoplayus

I get it.  But when you lived through it, for 20 plus years and still stuck with the team, which many of us did. I feel like that's kinda earned.  Whether it's warranted or not.

Bengals plane from Rhode Island developed engine trouble and was diverted to JFK airport in New York. Team waited two hours to take a different plane back to CVG.  Should arrive around 1:00 a.m.

I get that, but at what point then can people move on from that? If they win the Super Bowl this year, is it still ok to reference back to those 20 years? To say well they won the Super Bowl, but for those 20 years. At what point will be enough for people to let go of that?
 

 I was born in 86, so by the time I even knew anything about football was in the 90s. So all I knew growing up was losing with the Bengals. That time definitely sucked! However things have changed, in almost every single way. They also use not to sign free agents, they do that now. Never really honored older players, they do that now and have a ring of honor. Shoot they even have an indoor facility now. Then in regards to actual on the field. This team finds ways to win games in every way possible. They beat teams they are suppose to, they beat good teams, they win prime time games, they win playoff games. People wanted a team they can believe in and get behind, and we have that now. 
 

Quite honestly even though it didn’t result in any playoff wins. The five straight playoff appearances from 2011 to 2015 was also a good accomplishment. These last 13 years, have been the most successful years in Bengals history, better than the 80s, etc. It’s just time to let go of always expecting the worst, and start believing. Will they have moments that frustrate us, absolutely. However, they have also should have earned our trust now that they can figure things out and fix it and bounce back.

I heard about that. That definitely would be scary! I’m glad they made it back safely!

I was trying to explain this to someone that is more of a casual Bengals fan, I agree!

It's because both special teams decided to honor the holiday and not show up for the game.
