Xavier opened up Big East play with a win over Georgetown to go 9-3 on the season.

Souley Boum led X with 28, Nunge had 18, Freemantle 17, Kunkle 15, and Jones 12 to round out the scoring for X's five starters.

In short, this Xavier team is far superior to the team that won the NIT last year.

In my opinion Sean Miller is a much better coach than Travis Steele and it shows with this team.  Coach Miller has everyone doing what they should have been doing in the past and Souley Boum looks like a near NBA talent. 

I am excited about this season and all the Big East play.

How much longer can Patrick Ewing hold on at Georgetown? I would imagine alumni are getting restless.

They are definitely better this year than last year but I can't imagine much longer at this pace.

I was hoping Georgetown could build some momentum off their first NCAA tourney in a bit, but they haven't.    If Ewing survives the season, I can't see any possible way he is Georgetown's coach come October '23.
