In 2020 BW played Ryle at Home. Beechwood won 35-14 according to MaxPreps. I believe that Ryle team though was much different than the team they put on the field this past year.

Saw him play in the end of a couple varsity games last year. Kid can flat out sling it. The biggest question mark for beechwood will be the O-Line. They lose a ton including WKU Commit Luke Slusher. Will be exciting to see if they move kids around like O’Shea who played FB/TE to the line to put some varsity experience on there. Or do they have some JV guys in the pipeline that get their chance. That for me is the biggest issue the Tigers face.

Have a decent freshman class coming in that could fill the roles and not to mention just how deep this team is. A lot of subs could start at other schools. Line should be just fine.

Mitchell Berger - Beechwood.

Excellent write up VoR. I think we all see Power 5 commitments and assume they are supposed to take over the game. The BW defense was as good as they’ve been all year last night. Holding Brown and LCA offense to 14 points scored by them showed that. I guess we all figured he’d get 40 touches.

All of us on the Beechwood side were wondering the same exact thing.

No shot. He, from the film I’ve watched is an outstanding player, but didn’t play up to what I expected tonight. I’ve read plenty worse come from some on here, so if thats taken as a shot, wow. I agree that he was underused again, and after the hit he took, he didn’t look the same. Congrats to the Tigers on yet another historical season. I still can’t get over how great this defense was to watch all season.

Congrats to the Tigers on a undefeated season, capped off with the one that matters the most. Told all year that they were second best, and glad they got the chance to prove it tonight. Xavier Brown very well might be that dude, but tonight I was not impressed. The BW defense bent, but never broke. Rash and staff prepares their kids better than anyone in the state. Tonight was another testament to that. Roll Tigers!

This has the same feeling as last year. Beechwood the clear out sized, out talented, underdog. Love that for the Tigers. Nobody outside of Ft. Mitchell thinks they have a chance. Can’t wait for Friday!

If the Tigers D-Line is outsized, and pushed around early, I suspect they put Slusher in the middle. A couple times of the year the D-Line has had a little bit of issues, and once Slusher goes in, those issues go right away. He’s a force on both sides, and causes extreme havoc. I haven’t seen it a ton this year but you might see Jackson, Slusher, O’Shea, Campbell up front. That’s their biggest package while still being athletic.

I agree. Learned my lesson last year once the sun went down.

Even with it saying it’ll be 60 on Friday I will still probably have 3 layers on. I can’t ever trust the weather. But here’s to hoping it’s a true 60 degrees out on Friday!

The intensity and tone for the tigers starts on the line. If you see the D-Line firing on all cylinders from the first snap, typically good things follow. Looking for the D-Line to step up tonight more so than ever. Xavier Campbell is a force at DE and I expect him to make a big play tonight. The kids are prepared. I’m excited! Safe travels to all making their way up to Ft. Mitchell. I advise all to try a cheeseburger at the game too. Second to none!

I agree. If Mitchell is on any other team he touches the ball 20-30 times a game. Rash and the tigers are blessed to be able to not have to do that unless it is time. Like Cov Cath we saw him get the ball often and it paid off. I expect BW to lean on Berger to open up the big plays for Cam.

I believe the X factor is Berger. Has been getting a lot of limited touches in the backfield. If they put the ball in his hands often that can be the difference maker. He runs hard and can be what takes some of the pressure off Cam. Mitchell is a big time player, he will be locked in and will be lowering the shoulder all night.

Ft. Mitchell Kentucky. Beechwood Hosting Mayfield. Big time rivalry game, and I think the history speaks for itself.

If Hergott wins this week against Mayfield, I’d have to say he’s the front runner again with Xavier Brown right on his heels. Of course as well it’s possible to see them both go head to head.

I’m sure Rash will sleep just fine, knowing he’s molding young men into good citizens, teaching at a great school, and gets to enjoy thanksgiving with his family on Thursday. Keep it about the game and the sport.

Missing Brady Moore tonight as a starting safety. Liam McCormack in place of Brady Moore with an interception. This depth is something else. A tall task next week. You know Rash will have the defensive side of the ball prepared.

All is fun as well. Trust me. I wanted you guys to win to possibly have you guys come up this way. I just might get my wish. Just a weird comment after seeing what was being said about the regular season loss to Murray. Seems like the tides have turned in a flash.

No game beechwood could’ve played so far in the playoffs is a good prep game for Mayfield. Just like no game Mayfield has played is good prep for Beechwood. The tigers are focused on Walton, and if they make it past them this week, is when the focus will be on whoever else they play. Crazy the confidence level has switched drastically from the Mayfield fans after defeating a Murray team you guys should’ve beaten twice this year. What’s changed from the first game until now? Because you whooped up on Murray?

Running clock before halftime. Beechwood defense is on another level than WV has came across all year. 48-0 final I’m predicting.

The young tiger looked good. Has me very excited for next season. Needs to add some size, but he zips the ball around the field. A bright future for that young man in ft. Mitchell.

Unfortunately for HC, this will be another running clock. My hope is both teams make it out without injuries and everyone gets home safely. Injuries have killed BW the last couple of weeks.
