I’ll give you the “sticky stuff” moments as cheating, but the Jays pitcher came out and admitted he was tipping pitches that the 1B coach was picking up. No one in baseball is going to call that cheating.

That would require him to do it in back to back nights, which was a narrative I scoffed at for a long time, but has proven to be VERY true.

Very good start, especially in Colorado. Changed speeds, worked up and down. Looked like an MLB pitcher! He was aided by the rain knocking the ball down, but so was Chase Anderson on the other side. Was great to see McLain come through late in the game fighting off a tough pitch to score an insurance run even after a tough 3-K night that could have consumed the young player.

Williamson called up and on the mound tonight. McLain in the 2-hole again tonight.

In general, I agree with you. I think they have overachieved this year. It doesn’t change the fact that he routinely has awful sound bites though lol

Now news circulating that Brandon Williamson will get called up Tuesday or Wednesday. He was the centerpiece of the Suarez/Winker trade. McClain will wear #9. Hope he has a better tenure than the last #9!

The Reds go to the Rocky Mountains for a 3-game set with the Rockies. The Reds enter the series after winning 2 straight series and playing well in their last 20 games or so. They are currently only 2 games back in the Wild Card race in the National League. There will be lots of excitement around the team this week with the Reds bringing up Matt McLain tonight and breaking out the new City Connect jerseys on Friday night against the Yankees. Tonight (8:40)- Hunter Greene vs Connor Seabold

Agree with both of these, but I think City Connect jerseys are more about MLB jersey sales than butts in the seats. With that said, more wins sells more jerseys too.
