Reds at Rockies (5/15 - 5/17)

The Reds go to the Rocky Mountains for a 3-game set with the Rockies.  

The Reds enter the series after winning 2 straight series and playing well in their last 20 games or so. They are currently only 2 games back in the Wild Card race in the National League. There will be lots of excitement around the team this week with the Reds bringing up Matt McLain tonight and breaking out the new City Connect jerseys on Friday night against the Yankees. 

Tonight (8:40)- Hunter Greene vs Connor Seabold

Now news circulating that Brandon Williamson will get called up Tuesday or Wednesday. He was the centerpiece of the Suarez/Winker trade. 

McClain will wear #9. Hope he has a better tenure than the last #9!

Really good to see McClain up, this team has possibilities but how much longer can you keep Myers and Newman on the roster??

The first step to seeing how good the rebuild was. McLain and Williamson this week, soon you’ll seen EDLC and CES get their shot. Makes me excited.

Williamson called up and on the mound tonight. McLain in the 2-hole again tonight.

Strong start indeed.  And he didn't throw 100 pitches by the end of the 5th

Very good start, especially in Colorado. Changed speeds, worked up and down. Looked like an MLB pitcher! He was aided by the rain knocking the ball down, but so was Chase Anderson on the other side. 

Was great to see McLain come through late in the game fighting off a tough pitch to score an insurance run even after a tough 3-K night that could have consumed the young player.
