Debating on whether to go to this one or the Collins/Spencer affair. Is Tre Simmons still out for the Flyers? His status may well be the difference maker here, especially on the road.

Collins is off to an 0-5 start and district play begins this week. Collins is a great program traditionally and while I didn’t think they’d beat the rebels I am shocked by their start to the season.

Reading the enrollment reports from the 2017-18 school year reads that they actually only have roughly 900 kids which would place them as a middle of the pack (enrollment wise) 4A school. Unless they made a sudden jump like South Warren when they went from 3A to 5A in 2 years, I can’t imagine that figure is far off their current enrollment.

This is a team with barely over 20 players on the roster and just 2 seasons after a 27 game losing streak. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Go Pilots!!!!!!

Trinity has yet to play a potential playoff opponent besides Male, and I’d argue every team they’ve played aside from Naperville would cruise through a Kentucky 6A schedule to the title with running clocks every now and then. A great strength of schedule will benefit the Rocks immensely come November. If the Rocks can stay healthy, I don’t see them missing Kroger Field aside from a potential loss to Male before then.

If Scott County pulls this one off, they become my 6A number 1.

Can a mod change the title to signify the game is at Collins?

Oldham County has allowed zero points through 2 games and is coming off a bye week. Collins is coming off a loss to 6A Ballard. If the Colonels win, it will be their best start in over a decade. Last year's matchup saw a 28-21 Titan victory in Buckner. Can the Colonels avenge last season's loss in Shelbyville?

I personally believe Trinity/Male is the single most important game in the state Friday night, though I agree Scott County could make a genuine case for #1 if they beat Moeller especially if Male loses.

Lafayette competed with Scott County last week for 3 quarters, but defenses that give up 600+ yards of offense typically don’t win Football games. I’ll take LexCath 35-25.
