Class 4A

Kentucky's version of the last wild frontier may very well be anything in Class 4A outside of the Top 5. Another wild week of games featured every team not named Wayne County losing in the 6-10 spots of last week's ranking. As a result, Taylor County makes their debut in the rankings. The Cardinals will try to avoid the losing curse against a formidable West Jessamine squad. Only two teams remain unblemished on the year. Ashland survived a scare across the river against rival Ironton, Ohio. Logan County took down a pesky McLean County squad. The only 4A team facing a ranked foe will be Franklin-Simpson. The Wildcats will try to avoid being bitten by the Scotties of Glasgow in a big Southern Kentucky clash.

3. Ashland vs. Rowan County

4. Knox Central vs. Russell County

5. Logan County vs. Hopkins County Central

6. Wayne County vs. Clay County

8. Moore vs. Valley

9. Taylor County at West Jessamine

10. Hopkinsville -- OPEN

At this point, Hopkinsville being in the top 10 is highly questionable.

I wouldn't bury Ashland. But I definitely think it will be Franklin-Simpson against one of those two.

Probably says more about the lack of quality in the class than it does about Hopkinsville.

True, I forgot about Ashland. I wouldn't be surprised to see them to maybe make it too

I think Moore should jump Franklin Co. and Wayne County for now. They very well may be the biggest threat to Franklin Simpson out west.
