Franklin County takes District 4 title and will face Russell County at home in week 1 of the postseason. North Oldham is 3 seed and travels to Wayne County in the first round.

Franklin County at North Oldham determines the winner of 4A District 4, while a Shelby County victory over Collins would give North Oldham a 3 seed if Franklin County wins.

Before the season started, many people, including myself, believed that Franklin County would win this district. What I don’t believe anyone thought, however, is that their chance at a title would be decided in a game against North Oldham. The Mustangs are looking to win their first district championship since their 2014 semi state run, while Franklin is looking for their first since 2012 when they had Ryan Timmons on the roster. The loser of this game will most likely be the second seed in the district, however North Oldhan will be the third seed if they lose this game and if Shelby County defeats Collins. Who wins in Goshen on Friday night?

District 3 is matched with 6 this year meaning a 3-ish hour bus ride for the 3 and 4 seeds in the first round. Ouch!

Okay, totally did not see this coming. Does this make Franklin County the preemptive favorite out of this region?

Outside of the 3 headed monster of FS-JC-Ashland, Knox is likely the best team in 4A after this one.

Trinity is in an odd situation that really puts strength of schedule into perspective; they lost to Male by 2 scores, but have promptly put a running clock on every other KY public school they've played.

While I ultimately feel Male could beat any other team in the state on any given night, as the saying goes, "that's why we play the games." If any non Louisville school were to win I think it would be Frederick Douglass.
