Carroll County 24 Paris 19

Final!!! Great win for the Panthers! Paris had the ball at Carroll’s 18 but the 4th down pass fell incomplete and Carroll kneeled on it to win the game.

Congratulations to the Panthers. Is this an upset to anyone familiar enough with both programs?

Paris beat Carroll by a bunch last year so I would say so but this year’s Carroll County team is vastly improved. Paris jumped out early with 2 long TD passes. Carroll County fought back with passing TD’s to David Duncan and Kyle Gunthener. The score was 13-12 Paris at half. Carroll took their first lead after a long Andre Mumphrey TD run 18-12. Paris then came right back and scored a TD to make it 19-18. Midway through the 4th quarter David Duncan took a Paris punt to the house 80 yards for the eventual winning score 24-19. Paris had chances at the end but were denied. Was a great game.

Congrats Panthers!! As a Shelby/Oldham guy I love seeing the small North Central Kentucky teams like Carroll and Owen take care of business!

A little bit, but Carroll is pretty solid. Their defense has been lights out over the last month of the season. Even though Paris won their district they've had offensive issues all season.

I figured it to be a close enough matchup to include it in the CKY contest this week; and a few contestants- myself included -picked CC to win. For what that’s worth.
