Call me naive, uninformed or call me anything you like, but what is the difference in learning their signs as opposed to watching films and learning their formations, lineups, tendencies and whatever else helps tip you off to what they are doing? I remember in 1990 when CCH played Lloyd. The coach at Lloyd coached at CCH a year before. Their signals, offense, defense, cadence and audibles were the exact same as ours. We knew exactly what was coming. I understand that's somewhat different, not terribly far.

I voted for Franklin, and I don't know much about either team, but looking at both teams' records and scores, I think Bardstown has a shot at winning this one.

Can't trust those heathen Ft Thomas people with the cash. Too much of it disappears. Kidding!! But that is why we are seeing a small increase in businesses not taking cash. I generally skip those places if possible.

I was at that game. Ashland was given 3-4 opportunities to kick a winning field goal at the end of regulation to win that game. Coach Ray was losing his mind!

Not total fake news but...let's say partial fake news. Heard he is a sophomore and transferred from St. X and am told he is baseball only but I guess that could change. New school new sport? Also was told this was not an athletic move.

The ability to wrap up on a tackle seems to be a lost art not just in the NCAA but in the NFL. UK couldn't wrap a present against Tennessee.

The '87 Campbell County team must have been a pretty good team. It was the closest margin of victory for CCH and that was the first State championship team. If memory serves me correctly, they had some pretty good freshman and JV teams in that era too but could never get it to translate into varsity success.

I agree with you. I'm just trolling MC44. I'm not a big proponent of common opponents either. It can give you a glimpse, but it generally doesn't tell the whole story.

They each have a common loss too. SK took an absolute beat down by CCH, Ryle on the other hand made it a decent game. Ryle should absolutely be ranked over SK.

That's correct. Was thinking they were confused on the dates and keeping it consistent. Maybe it's me that was confused. It was kind of a blurry time of my life.

That team was heavily favored to win. Their only loss to that point was to a very good Massillon team at River Front Stadium early in the season. Yep, it still stings!

Seems like you would want CCH to win. Wouldn't it help Simon Kenton's RPI?

You will see everyone this week minus Flood. I think the current thinking on Flood is that he may be back the second or third week of the playoffs. Fingers crossed for him.
