I thought I read somewhere that Mayfields O line is going to be young and somewhat inexperienced? That being said they are always well coached and prepared, 2A should be fun to watch this year

This would be one more way to have kids completely specialize in one sport, I think there is already to much of this, not a fan of the thought

I had the chance to see this team in person twice, they did not disappoint. IMO they are the best team CCH has fielded, not taking anything away from the other great CCH teams of the past, but this team was dominant in all facets of the game.

Going to be interesting trying to replace the senior leadership, however Jeff has done an outstanding job replenishing and reloading the past several years. IMO they will be fine

Parent that lives in Scott County = Acceptable, but the athlete should live with said parent. Because you went to the school for a while doesn't hold water, nor does, "a better opportunity", if so then move.

Hope so, Ryle seemed disinterested at best, no adjustments offensively or defensively until McFarland pulled the starters, then started pressing. Seems as though he is coaching for next year. Greatly disappointed.

Has been speculation that Beechwood would move up, looks like they may catch a break with DeSales and Louisville Christian moving up to 3A, will be interesting to see if they can break the Mayfield jinx over the life of the realignment,.

I know that Culp is a good man, and a better coach.

Hate to hear Dan is leaving, hopefully it was for the right reasons. If in fact they move to 1A it makes that job much more appealing IMO. Best of luck to whomever takes the job

No doubt in KY the football, or any of the high school coaches do it because they love it. Coached Freshmen ball for a number of years, stipend received just about covered gas money getting back and forth.

OK, you are making way to much sense! By the way, who ever teaches form tackling for Raceland should make an instructional video, they would make a fortune. As I said in the State Championship post, they are by far the best tacking team I have seen in ages. BW only broke one tackle during the game that I can recall. Going to have to travel down the AA to see a home Rams game next year, your team made a fan out of me.

The 1A officials did a nice job

I hate to disagree, for myself it had everything to do with geography, went to the 1A game yesterday only because it was in Lexington, would not have made the trip to Bowling Green. I would have made the trip if the game would have been held at Georgetown....being UK had absolutely no bearing on my decision to attend

I don't know about designations, I pulled in and parked where I wanted. Agreed about 80% of bathrooms closed, bush league. Glad it was held at UK though, would not have made the trip if it were at Western

Congrats Tigers on #13, I tell you what, the Rams defense played their collective butts off, they flew to the football and was by far the best tackling team I have seen in years....great effort. Don't know who #2 was for the Rams, but that young man can flat out play football.

I don't disagree with your thought, but Butler is $50K + in tuition, room and board, he will get help with his 28 on the ACT. Morehead on the other hand will probably cover his tuition with the 28, sure he can pick up some other monies to cover a portion of room and board. Butler is a better football option, but considering he, along with the other 99% of young men who play college football, is not going to play in the league. I have experience with this, play football and enjoy the experience because you love it, keep your debt to a minimum as those debts unfortunately can outlive the positive football memories.

Agreed, for whatever reason it seems as though they have difficulty attracting kids to the program. I didn't get a chance to see Newport play this year, but heard they had less than 30 on the roster....not sure if freshmen were included or not. Hate to see that from a once proud program.

I agree 100%, that is why they put it on the tee and kick it off. Obviously both are great teams, I feel as though BW will pull away at the end and win by 14, but you never know. Good luck to both teams, I hope the game is clean and their are no injuries.

Colonels by a bunch, IMO the second best team in the state, no matter the class
