That's great he's focusing on his development. Is there any way I can watch a live stream of the state championship? When he started to get hype built around him, I made sure to go to the St. X vs CCH game (and because Go Bombers), but I remember not being impressed then. Probably why I have always been iffy. But now it seems he's really picked it up.

Football. Like multiple users have said above, classes help. However, it does also depend on how you define a "dynasty". Do you mean a team that wins multiple regional titles? Just simply contends for the regional title? Is in the discussion?

I've seen Mayer play three times. The first time was in 2015 against St. X at Nippert (which was a 57-7 win for X), second was last year against Ryle and the third was last year against Beechwood. I see the talent, but I think it's a stretch to say he's Big 10 talent. Even if he'd get an offer from a good P5 school, why go there and risk not ever being the starter when you could go to a good school and be able to compete right from the start?

Room for improvement for the Cru but definitely seems like they can be a dangerous team as the season goes on. Vieth impressed... And he's only a freshman

I was told by the successor to St. Henry broadcasting that the Vieth looks good for St. Henry. He also mentioned the JV team looked solid. Can't wait to see how St. Henry does in the future!

Brain fart... Can't believe I did that! I guess I was more so thinking about the big name schools in Cincy. Anyways, you're correct in that he made connections. That's what I was trying to get at. I know there's always rumors about Specht leaving and possibly getting a job at OSU, but again - rumors.

Another thing is that the GCL could provide for a better opportunity in the future. Kerry Coombs, Urban Meyer are two that went from GCL to solid coaching jobs.

The location of Moeller means they can't make a big stadium. They have one, but it's very small - pretty much what you'd say at grade school stadiums (if my memory is correct). That being said, Lockland Stadium (where they play their home games) can be a good place for a game. But comparing it to Ballaban Field, The Pit, and Lasalle's stadium, it's not close.

Since my alma mater doesn't have football I always cheered for Beechwood since I had a very close friend play for them. I also like Danville and Gallatin County because of family connections. Other than them, it's cool to see Ludlow, Bellevue, and Dayton do well. St. X (OH) is my main team overall, though.

I wasn't the poster of the GCL vs. Louisville comment, but I misread that and took it as GCL vs. KY. I'd love to have a debate about GCL vs. Louisville, as it definitely does present some exmaples of good games. My reasoning was that Cincy St. X looks very good this year, and Specht will absolutely make sure they perform better than the game against Iggy. Since it's in Louisville, it'll be closer, but I think the Bombers will still pull out the win. Now, my comment before in this thread was probably a bit too much in saying that they should have no issue.
