Can't say that this was much of a display of talent. East team really didn't have a QB who could throw the ball, while the west team looked pretty good at QB. East team used a RB who played DE for his school. Honestly wasn't much of a challenge for the West. Most of the kids who played did play hard and gave it their all. How are the coaches picked for this All-star game?

Taking nothing away from the young man as he is a tremendous talent but he was not your typical 8th grader. He was 15 years old on March 12th, born in 2002. As others stated it will be fun to watch him the next 4 years if he stays in the bluegrass. Will he be able to play in Ky. when he's a senior?

Hard to keep Billy Hicks off with nearly 1000 wins. Bobby Keith with an 86% winning record (767-125) probably belongs in the top 5.

I didn't see Conner play all year but it appeared their hitters couldn't even come close to hitting breaking balls. Did they not face that many pitchers with good stuff during the season? They also must have taken a 3rd strike at least 6 of those 15 Ks.

How do they pick these players?

You're taking the teams who advance out of school for a full 5 days and adding the expense of hotels, etc. to those same schools. This could be a reason they want it as short a period as possible.

It's good to see the young guys get a chance at a top notch program. There are a lot of opportunities at that school with open enrollment so I wish Roddy well. Will there be any animosity there with coach Shumate or was he even a candidate?

Teams always work out on college size courts in preparation for a bigger court. At least it was always on the college floor in the past.

There are only 3 NKY boys teams that have won a state championship and 1 of them is all boys. Holy Cross 2 years ago was the first NKY girls team to win a state championship. Not a lot of history for NKY in the state championships for basketball.

Some people like to think they are a better coach than the head coach and have all the answers.

Sounds like Stamm has played not to lose the last 2 games instead of attacking. That can be a recipe for disaster against a very strong Holmes team in the next matchup if Holmes beats Dixie.
