Cooper definitely won this one at the foul stripe and at first glance you would think there was some in-state "homer" bias with the 41-7 advantage in fts made. I don't have the stats but Cooper probably only missed maybe 5 fts all night but the foul calls were legit as Skills Factory (Ga) was a very physical team. A lot of teams would not have been able to stand up to the physicality of this game but Cooper was strong with the ball and moved it around the court under a lot of pressure. Skills Factory never gave up very many easy baskets and Cooper took it to the hoop strong all night. I'm betting the Cooper boys were ready for some good sleep after taking a physical beating on the court. I hope they have enough left tonight to represent against a strong Rocky River team from North Carolina.

Congrats to the lady cougars but I saw the game and the lady bluebirds were right in the game until the end. From 30-12 at half to 32-31 6 1/2 minutes later? Sounds to me like the lady bluebirds coach made the adjustment not coach Stamm, he stood there with his arms crossed hoping the girls would settle down after blowing an 18 pt lead. The girls win games in spite of his coaching, they're that much better than Highlands this year. Highlands has 3 girls that can play and not much else.

No axe just don't have the same love affair with his coaching. You seem to think that he is a great coach and I do not think he is capable of leading this team very far. It's a shame imo because they have more overall talent than any other team in the 9th region but don't get the coaching help they will need to go to state.

You obviously underestimate Jaime's ability to take away Conner's strengths and overestimate Stamm's ability to make adjustments.

You must have a lot of spare time to watch this much.

Coach Richey will have her lady bluebirds ready for Conner should they advance past Nelson Co. as they should.

Doubt that coach Sully is overly concerned about a 5 pt victory over the holidays. What he is probably more concerned about is his star player having to provide 60% of the teams points in one game and he and Chris McNeil accounting for all but 10 of the teams point total. 8 other players played and only managed a combined 10 points?? That is not something that Sully wants to see as a norm. Kunkel and McNeil 15 for 19 from the field, the rest of the team 4 for 19.

Even though they lost to Newport you have to ask why would they travel to Bellevue to play in this tournament? You'd think they would play in a tournament with a little more competition.
