I could be wrong, but I think people are reading too deep in to what @Bluesport said. The way I read it is not that he will continue to berate a person on a message board (BGP) until his son tells him it is enough, rather he will continue to post on this message board until his son asks him to stop (my guess is out of embarrassment because that is our job as fathers, to embarrass our kids). I think he is saying that BW either needs to have thicker skin, or stop reading negative press, because the negative press is never going to stop. There will always be people who think they could do it better, and a coach complaining about the criticism isn't going to stop it. Personally I have no problem with what BW did, but you would think he has to know that his comment isn't going to stop keyboard warriors.

I like the Colonels by at least 2 touchdowns, but if the rumors are true that both Huddy and Buten will be on offense, this will be a different Highlands team than we have seen yet this year. 35-14 Let's go Colonels!

I too am looking forward to how Mayer does against this defense, but when he was beating some of the top defenders in the nation, he was being thrown to from some of the best QBs in the nation. I believe I saw in another thread where someone said they thought that Royer (Elder TE) was better than Mayer, and he very well may be, but he also has a different QB throwing him the ball. This isn't a shot at Caleb, but I don't think he has had the year that some were expecting. I think this could be a statement game for Caleb for how he can play in big time games against big time competition.

Would it be crazy to think the coaches aren’t playing Huddy on offense at this point out of fear that he will do well, and the Highlands faithful will be calling for the staffs collective heads for waiting so long to play him?

I see your point, but at the same time it makes the regular season district games matter all the more. Imagine how much bigger Mercer Co.'s win over Cal would have been if it had playoff implications. Only 1 of those 3 teams is going to have the opportunity at a ring, why prolong that in to the post season as opposed to making the district games matter during the season?

I believe he is listed as 3 star by all major recruiting services.

To be fair, and this is coming from a CCH alumn and fan, this is what people were saying against us in 2017 and 2018 and our argument was that we were blowing everybody out. As good as Beau Allen is, nobody expected Lex Cath to be in that game (and they probably should have won it). IMHO, that game hurts us in the rankings and is the reason we are not #1. Win that game handily and we have an excuse to ask why we aren't #1.

IMO Calpreps continue to get better as the season continues (as will the RPI I would assume), but Calpreps are much closer to the BGP rankings which seem to be pretty solid. Since we know that the KHSAA is never going to use BGP as a source, why try to reinvent the wheel as opposed to using the formula that calpreps has already provided, and appears to be much more accurate?
