Who wins this battle of Kentucky vs. Indiana? Trinity hopes to continue its success against out of state foes on the the season. Cathedral hopes to give Trinity loss number 2.

Cathedral may be best team Trinity has played. I think Trinity wins behind a good performance by their defense.

Two things that travel (or at home because I’m not sure where the game is going to be played) are defense and running the football. Trinity can do both. I’ll take Trinity.

IMO Cathedral is the best team in Indiana this year. They went to Cincinnati three times; they beat Moeller 28-0, lost in OT at Elder, and lost by 4 at St. Xavier. With that said I think this will be a great game with Trinity winning 35-28

The Trinity secondary better be ready. Cathedral can throw the ball very well, and loves to do it. This will be a huge test for the Rocks. I think it will be very close.

Yeah, it's interesting that Trinity faced Carmel and Warren early on, who were both (especially Carmel) expected to be a step above Cathedral this year, and in reality, both those teams have not met expectations. I agree, Cathedral is playing better than both those teams, and is at least top 5, maybe top 3 in Indiana overall.

 

Cathedral's offense had been rolling. I think they put up over 500 yards on Cincy St. X, before they squandered that lead. Meanwhile, Trinity D has been very solid...a great matchup of these 2 powerhouses. I'd be pretty surprised if it's not a one score game either way.

Cal Preps projection has it Trinity 28 Cathedral 21.

Cathedral has 2 losses,

One to Elder, in OT

One to OH. St. X

Warren Central has 2 losses,

One to Trinity

One to Ben Davis (2 OT)

Carmel has 2 losses

One to Trinity

One to North Central by 6 (27-21)

Of those, I feel like Cathedral has the "best losses". The Rocks will be challenged. This game will be well worth the price of admission, or even listening to on the radio (as i will be doing because I'm in Florida this week). FYI, if you're going this game is being played at Arlington Community High School per the Cathedral 'Maxpreps' site.

Warren Central and Carmel are both down by their standards. Warren Central just graduated studs off their state championship team who are playing respectively at their colleges as true freshmen. Indiana's State championship is wide open this year.

 

With that said, Trinity should win, but Cathedral wont make it easy.
