Bowling Green 44 Christian County 29
This is funny because CC had more holding penalties called than BG did. And trust BG o-line held just as much. You beat a good team in CC just admit it. Instead of finding excuses for a great close game that was extremely entertaining.

Christian County vs. Bowling Green Predictions (5A Round 2)
Great points! I'm really excited for this game because I know BG is legit! For the past few weeks it's been hard to judge if Christian County is a legitimate contender or a pretender. I believe this will be a great game, but if I'm wrong it'll be another running clock!

Best of the Bluegrass Roster
I didn't say the kids wasn't a player. I was just asking debatable questions. I haven't even seen the kid nor heard of him until now. But you obviously have seen all 6 LBs that are on the team to be able to say that this particular kid was snubbed...right? Or is your argument purely based on stats?

Best of the Bluegrass Roster
Aren't these very players nominated by their coaches then voted on by other coaches?? 153 tackles sounds impressive. But what type of tackles are they? Assist, solos, TFL? Show me a LB that's making plays behind the line of scrimmage and I'll show you a player...show me a LB making plays sideline to sideline and I'll show you a player. Show me a LB making tackles for 5-10 yd gains getting pile hopping assist and I'll show you a Saftey! Lol!

Christian County vs. Bowling Green Predictions (5A Round 2)
I'm picking Christian County purely based on the fact of being a homer. I have no other valid reason because I really don't know how much this team has improved since that running clock beat down in week two. I think the Purples will have to win this game, I think the Colonels will try to limit BG's big play ability. So I'm picking Christian County 21-14. With the winner going on to win 5A

KHSAA should be ashamed!
Blowouts are going happen. First game, last, or playoffs doesn't matter. The question I have is the travel...Why drive 4hrs to get your heads bashed in? Has to be a remedy that someone smarter than me can come up with that won't eliminate all the classes. So that those schools who want to take a butt kicking can and McCracken and a Louisville school don't have to travel 4hrs to play

Bluegrasspreps' Class 5A Rankings - Discussion (11/1)
Since we are using horses, after all this is Kentucky, I would say Christian County has the horses to run stride for stride. Unfortunately for Christian it's not a horse race and there is a psychologic element to football that seems to be holding this team back. So as a County homer I'd have to tread on the side of reason and agree with Cov Cath

Franklin-Simpson Vs Hopkins County Central
This right here is complete ignorance. This game will be over in the first qtr no offense to Hop Central but it is what it is

Christian County 38 John Hardin 0
Please elaborate why 5A is weakest division in KY...

Christian County 38 John Hardin 0
Or maybe it's more about Christian County being a really good team. 5A is really tough this year. I think due to how dominant BG is that this is getting lost in the wash. Time will tell as it's play off season.

Class 4A Notebook (10/24): Who's Ready To Be Unbeaten?
I would say this isn't the same Hoptown team as last year, but it practically is. In this sense it's a good thing. I don't think they will be an easy out for anyone and from the looks of things they are already being counted out. This team has speed and size. One loss coming to Christian County were Hoptown out gained them in every stat column. No other team not named BG has done that to Christian. I think Hopkinsville is going to really shock some teams in the playoffs.

Owensboro 35 Graves County 6
Any stats from this game? Heard Graves played Owensboro tough until the 4th qtr then self imploded.

Fall Break Is All For Me!
See I disagree. I have friends whom I went to college with that are recruiters. Majority say the same thing "can't keep them in college" meaning our kids get their then go home not finishing their obligations. Just my opinion and I think it's direct correlation with incidents like fall break. Not just fall break. Seems to me we don't t take football as serious as other places do.
-
Fall Break Is All For Me!
No I'm equating the lack of commitment to the sport to the lack recruitment.

Fall Break Is All For Me!
I believe the date is July 22 could be wrong but that's hardly mid July...Also talking about missing summer workouts that can be made up vs a week mid season maybe for a district game...trying to compare apples and oranges here.

Fall Break Is All For Me!
This is what's wrong with football in Kentucky...It's bad enough that you can't do anything competitive in the state with other teams until August but we can't even get the parents to buy in to the team first concept. Family first always...Get that...But what about your obligations. I bet these same parents won't go tell their employers "hey I'm taking a week long vacation today and I expect to have my job when I return!" No different when you have mandatory work days...so what we are teaching our kids is that as a parent my obligations are important our kids obligations are not. Sounds hypocritical to me. Further more most high school coaches give schedules out in May or right before the school year is out. Detailing the required days of practice and games. Seeing that the official start day for football is not until the end of July, you're telling me that families can't plan a vacation with in those two months? And it has to be the one week in October??? Come on now let's be real. And you wonder why our high school football players aren't recruited like other states...Wow

Honest question, help me understand..... Fans & Coaches
I will say this tho. Fans get a bad rap too. It's not like the majority of fans don't want to win. And I think they generally mean well. As coaches we try to advoid those bad 5 play calls a game. That in it self shows we are not perfect or that we know it all. Just like a fans frustration is sometimes ill advised. Fans have a right to voice their opinions and we as coaches have the right to smile and ignore every thing they say lol.

Honest question, help me understand..... Fans & Coaches
You're on to something...but I think it's human to wonder how I would use other peoples talent. Then the winner in me says "and make it better". But to blast coaches hiding behind fake names like I could do better is purely entertainment.

Christian County 36 Graves County 0
Think it's time to start showing this Christian County defense some love. Held Graves in check the majority of the game. Doubt if Graves had over 150 yds of total offense. This team could be scary dangerous in three weeks if they continue to improve.

5A #5 Owensboro vs. Apollo
Owensboro big in this one. Apollo can't stop the run...Is there any more that needs to be said...

Does anyone challenge Bowling Green?
I think it's good for 5A in Kentucky. I also believe what is over looked and under valued is the Job Kevin and his staff are doing at BG. It's not just about being bigger and more athletic. But getting your players top to bottom to buy in to your system. If anything it's going to make the rest of the class step up to their level which can only improve the level of football.

Christian County 49 Apollo 14
The colonels returned a punt and a kickoff back for TDs. Had one called back or it would have been 3 special team scores. If you kick the ball to Keyron Catlett you are asking for trouble. Any stats for this game?

Christian County 49 Apollo 14
Christian County's Offense was rolling this game! I don't think they punted until the 4th qtr when the subs were in. I know it's Apollo "no offense Apollo fans" but I'd like to see that Red Devil game played again without the down poor.
