Gosh I hate to say it, but ohs is not good, apollo isn't very good, Davies co isn't very good and Owensboro cath isn't very good. I know they all "took care of business" but really what does that mean. I was hoping for ohs to rise up, but they are way behind even what I thought, apollo is beat up and has little talent, Oc beat Webster who couldn't beat my kids 9-10 year old team. D.C. Actually beat a decent team and may be best team in city. But I don't think that means much. D.C. Maybe will play ok next game. Oc will prolly beat Mury but they only bet McLean by 20. My point is these teams aren't good And once dc and oc play a decent team they will get beat easy.

Excited for this game. Devils haven't been good, but have the speed to make this one interesting. Turnovers have killed them all year. If they lose BIG then Fallin seat gets hot. To much talent there young or not to lose this many games, especially to D.C. And apollo.

Agreed. I wasn’t impressed with S Warren. I skipped ohs game which was surprisingly good. I was thinking S Warren would be better, they were very average, especially on offense. Owensboro catholic is just ok. I thought their defense looked much better, but offense struggled. Can’t run the ball, not very accurate passing. To many interceptions. I think here in town maybe it’s just a down year. I guess Apollo might be best team locally but they will probably get beat tonight. The injuries are hurting them.

Agree with ddevil. Its hard to watch, they gotta make some changes to this offense. If coaches don't wake up and change the style they are crazy. Ohs will beat all the local schools and win 8-9 games every year based on athletes, but to beat BG and Christian and advance far in playoffs they are gonna have to either goto a pro style offense or the spread. We have no threat of throwing the ball. Imagine the spread and getting ball to Owsley and letting him make people miss!

The Devils are just an ok team this year, and CC is very good. After seeing what Daviess county and now Christian did to their offense it doesn't take a genius to see that it's time they move their offense into this century. If they can't/won't run a spread then put in a pro style look, spread some kids out and get these athletes the ball in space. Surely there is someone in that school that can throw it around a little.

I plan on being at the Rash stadium friday night for a great game! My gut says Christian, but my heart says Devils. Should be a great one. If we lose, some tough decisions may be in store. Gotta change the offensive look and utilize the speed in space and don't allow teams to load the box. Stay tuned

Ok. I'm gonna leave this game at the half. I believe my kids KFL team could possibly beat this Butler Co team. They are awful. Hard to tell if OC is getting better or if they are now playing their district dumpers. I guess you gotta play who is on your schedule, but this isn't even enjoyable to watch. I may skip out on OC games until S Warren game. Running clock at half.

I must admit I see lots of graduates from my school (OHS)do our games and even local rivalry games. Most of the guys are pretty solid, but sometimes it makes you wonder.

I didn't make apollo game. Went to see the devils play D.C. That was a great game. Figs, according to the paper Warren has left the oc football team. Coach said that he didn't want to play anymore. Strange story and kinda sad. Gotta be more to this story. Hope kid decides to play, I saw some games last year and the D.C. Game this year and thought he was very good. Thought he and Blare were willing oc to win that game. I'm trying to find out more info Oc will be fine now, their district is probably as bad as it's ever been so I'd expect them to romp next few games. Apollo can really block and tackle, got some Qb issues, but their line plays with a purpose. They will win a few more gam s this year.

DC Looked very good at times. They throw it up to Tinsley over and over again, and he comes down with the majority of them. The Baker kid also is a gamer. OHS showed again fumbling problems. They have to figure that out and someday have to go to the spread offense. This option is so hard to watch.

After reading this, I apologize for using all the numbers. I could not remember all these players names, I take notes in my phone during games and don't know who all of them are so didn't feel it'd be fair to use just a few of them.

I thought DC was very good in first half. The WR Tinsley is a tough match up for most teams, and Catholic had no answer for him most of the game. The DC qb had a good first half, i thought he threw a good deep ball, but agree with Apollo Fan that having WR like that is nice. Tinsley was 12 yards away from anybody on 1TD. Thought the DC QB struggled in 2nd half and was a little erratic on short and mid range throws, but good deep again. OC struggled first half, could not run the ball, dropped passes, didn't block or tackle very well. Thought their QB and DE #9 kept them from getting blown out first half. QB stuck a few balls in so tight that they could not drop them, and #9 was being double and sometimes triple teamed. Second half, OC seemed to relax a bit and RB #15 got going with a few good runs. I was on fence by endzone and the TD pass from the OC QB to #11 was as good as Ive seen. Threaded a needle from about 30 yards away. That seemed to ignite OC and they seized control. Both teams suffered from cramps all night, saw more kids on the ground from cramps on each sideline than from being tackled. As a local high school fan, this matchup is finally becoming what it should be. Lets be honest DC has I'm guessing 1600 or so kids in school and again Im guessing here that OC has about 400, so the fact that DC is finally playing them closer is a good sign for the county football program. I just thought that the leadership and no quit attitude of #11, #15, and #14 on offense and #9, #47, and again #15 on defense kinda willed OC to victory. OC has some issues up front and at DB. If they can get better front and faster and smarter at DB they they will be OK. Also have to get #5 in the game, a guy next to me said he heard he was hurt? DC has depth issues, I thought that #2 and #5 and #12 and #14 were nice players and thought that #3 had moments early on where he looked good also. All in all a very good game and both teams should find some positives and negatives to pull from this game. Next week for these teams will be interesting, I think DC should be favored by a bunch and OC will probably be a 2-3 TD underdog. See how each respond.

I feel like it will be a tight game..Only because of all DC unknowns going into this game. Everybody on this site knows what OC has9-(QB, RB, WR, DE, LB)what we don't know yet is how will the line respond and can OC corners cover Tinsley. If DC has improved tremendously, and found another weapon or 2 then it will be a game, but if Warren,Williams, and Mills get rolling early it could be lights out for DC

What does rest of receiving corps look like? How is the line going to be? From what I hear NewarkCatholic Fan is accurate...No worries at Qb or RB or Mills, lots of question marks in other places.

No invite for the best QB in the West? Will Warren from Owensboro Catholic. Bring him up to Louisville and maybe y'all can show him some stuff.

Making #9 a tackle might be a brilliant move. He definitely needs to be on the field most snaps. Hate to hear that about Harrington, he is a gamer, hope he sticks around. What does the freshman and sophomore lineman look like? Are they going to be able to contribute any this year, even rotation?

I like what I hear is coming back from OC faithful. I watch tons of games in this half of state, no disrespect to any other kids, but give me the 4 sophomore playmakers that live in Owensboro and i like my chances. If theres a better duo at QB and RB in state other than Will Warren and Von Williams returning I'd like to meet them. Excellent possession receiver with speed in Nick Mills (think Julian Edelman) My other playmakers is not at OC but DC. The Tinsley kid there can hurt you in multiple ways, if he was at a school like OC he may put up even bigger numbers.

Owensboro will be Owensboro. They will probably win their district, be in a toss up game with Owensboro Catholic and get beat by BG. No shame in this BG is very very good. They need to focus on the run, run and more run. When they went away from trying to throw the ball last year they got much better. They'll be a tough out as always.

I like Owensboro Catholic to meet Mayfield again coming out of the west. Game will be at Mayfield if it happens. Both teams are still young in spots, but Mayfield will be Mayfield and find new tough kids to step up. OC has bunch of young kids that played significant roles last year, so still young, but have been in a few battles. They have a core of playmakers that most teams would love to have. Big young QB Warren can make all the throws(Im hearing they are gonna turn him loose this year), Williams at Rb is tough as they come, Mills at WR is Edelman like, hearing about a new kid Hamilton who is fast, can jump and make plays. Look for him to be very involved. Only question marks Im hearing are lineman depth and finding some playmakers on D to go with Todd. Hearing Harrington kid may be big role.

Who/What does Mayfield have coming back? What about Murray and Butler? Oboro Catholic? 2a is tough!
