Team Rules from what I have heard, This will be the closest the Royals have been to full strength all season with Perkins being the only one out, with an illness I believe.

The gym its self would be great in terms of the atmosphere it would provide compared to a half-full Fieldhouse. The parking situation is what concerns me, when Bracken Co hosts the district tournament usually finding a place to park is the hardest thing to do.

Should be over quickly, Lady Royals should be able to handle this one and get out with a relatively easy win.

Does Dunbar lose anyone this year?? I know Hollingsworth returns but wondered if anyone major departed, if not they could be really good next season.

Paris coming in off a huge win, might have a little bit of a let down game in this one. Add to the fact its a rivalry game against a Bourbon County team needing a win to get on track, ill take BC by 3

The big news for the Royals tonight is all 4 players who have missed the first 3 games of the season are eligible for tonights game. 3 of the 4 have played small amounts of varsity ball in their careers, with one of them starting last season for a smaller school before moving here this year. They will add depth and experience to an inexperienced Royals team

A lot of great first round match ups, and could have some really fun match ups as the tournament proceeds. The 2:00 game has a chance to be a classic, I got to see the Simon Kenton team play earlier this season and they are REALLY big but also REALLY good. All in all its going to be another great tournament.

They switched when they had to, but for the most part they played man-to-man in the half court with O'Mara or Frodge guarding Cummins most of the night.

Not saying it's the best, but the 9th and 10th regions have both produced some VERY good players over the past 15 years

I didn't completely, BUT coming into th game it was thought of as Cummins and O'Mara as the number 1 and 2 players in the region. They were matched up most of the night, and O'Mara dominated the matchup, thus for the time being making her the top player in the region in MOST people's eyes.

The one big argument settled tonight was the "who's the best player in the region?" I think O'Mara settled that on the court with her play tonight. Great game for the Lady Royals.

Haven't been able to see everyone play this season, but yeah IMO he's by far the best, just didn't want to offend anyone.

I think we need to throw all the statistics out of the way for a minute and look at the BIG matchup in this game. Possibly the best scoring guard in the region in Ohmer, against the best defensive guard in the region IMO in Pig Williams. Whoever wins this matchup wins the game. Ohmer can flat out play, but I've seen Pig lockdown some of the best offensive players in the state last season, so I'll take the Royals by 4.

Good game by the Royals, saw the Pig Williams we need to see consistently for this team to be successful. Can't wait for Friday night though, Williams vs Ohmer could be an instant classic.

Was very impressed with the grit they played with, Lady Royals went up by 9 early and looked like they were going to go on one of their "classic runs" from last postseason and put Ryle away, but Ryle showed great toughness and not only battled back but took the lead. Both teams will definitely make some noise come this postseason.

If Ryle doesn't turn the ball over they are going to be tough for anyone to beat. Saw them this past weekend and was impressed at their size and ability to stretch the floor and shoot the deep ball. Haven't gotten to see Holmes play yet but it sounds like this could be a really good one.

It comes down to how the Royals shoot the ball. I think they win by 10-15+ if they can shoot like they did in their season opener, but if they shoot like they did on Friday @ SK then expect a close one.

Not enough depth on the Bracken Co side to keep this one close IMO, I'll take the Lady Royals by 10+

When the Lady Royals finally grow into Coach Cox's up-tempo system I think they will be an extremely tough team for anyone to beat. All 5 girls on the floor at times can shoot the deep ball and have crazy athleticism. Should be a great season for them.

This could be a GREAT one, and if my Royals weren't playing I would definitely be in Brooksville to catch this one. IMO I think Augusta will take this one by 2.

The T was a terrible call, pig was fouled on a shot attempt and as the ball came off the back board he tipped it toward the ref and it hit the SK player in the face. Completely accidental. A lot of iffy calls throughout the whole night though.

After watching the Royals play last night I'm very impressed. I think this year's team is very talented defensively and that's where they get an edge in a lot of games this season.

The Royals showed that they have many different scoring options on this year's team with 4 players scoring 14+. The young royals will only get better as this season progresses, it could be a great year to be a royal
