Yikes... not really shocked by the SK win, but I am the margin.

Made the trip. Expected a better game.

 

Inexperienced Mason team. Will struggle early.

 

SK is solid.

Impressed with coach Steiner's team. They are big, they can shoot, they have a little bit of attitude. Fries made some great offensive moves, strong to the hoop, played like a man. I know it's early but this may be Trent's most talented team.

I like the attitude. Mason got very chippy when they got down by 20 plus and the SK kids never backed down. Refs got whistle happy late in the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter. Made for a long second half. Pig for Mason picked up a T for hitting the ref in the face with the ball. Not hard, just flicked the ball at him and hit the ref. I didn't see it but everyone sitting around me said he did it. Cottrell for SK got a T for talking trash to a Mason kid after a jump ball. Cottrell didn't see the floor again for SK.

The biggest thing I see from this SK team is the players all like each other and enjoy playing with each other. I don't think that has happen in the last few years at SK, to many personnel agendas on those teams. I like how lively the bench was cheering on the players on the floor. I know its only one game but I like this team. Be very interested to see the attitude after a loss. Like Mike Tyson said everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. We need to see their reaction after getting punched in the mouth and getting a W.

This was a bad T, imo. #30 for SK was called for the foul on #2s shot attempt. Both he & #2 for Mason fell back in opposite directions. #2 for Mason on the right side of the lane, imo, was just tipping the ball towards the ref the left side of the lane on the baseline & #30 walked into it. Outside official opposite scorers table called the T.

 

The only reason I felt it was a bad call was #2 didn't appear mad before tipping the ball away. And #30 didn't get upset after getting hit. Both were caught off guard by 2nd whistle.

The T was a terrible call, pig was fouled on a shot attempt and as the ball came off the back board he tipped it toward the ref and it hit the SK player in the face. Completely accidental. A lot of iffy calls throughout the whole night though.

SK still won very easy none of the calls would have changed the game.

Thought this may be the case. While I don't know Pig personally, I do know people that do, and didn't think it would be intentional. Thanks for clearing that up.

Definitely surprised by the margin, but not the outcome. I figured this game would be a bit closer. It got out of hand quick for the Royals and they just couldn't get back into it. Anxious to watch this game film here in a little bit as I wasn't in attendance.

 

In regards to the T on Pig, I know the kid personally and he's a class act. Anything that happened PROBABLY wasn't intentional, but refs see the game differently and have to protect the kids. If it was a pre-cautionary T to keep the game under control as it was getting chippy, I like it.
