Very very good game, Lady Royals went up by 10 in the 2nd quarter and Ryle came storming back and took a 4 point lead late in the 4th quarter. Mason Co closed the game on a 9-2 in the final 2:15.

Sounds like a great game!!! Sounds like Ryle toughed it out in a really hard place to win. Wonder what the outcome would have been if Ryle wasn't so weary?

I think it's safe to say that either team could of/can win this match up. What a great game to listen to, thanks Travis for a great game call!

How did Ryle 8th grade point guard Maddie Scherr stand up to Mason?

She did fine. Mason pressured her all game but she held up well. I remember her from last year, and she is much bigger and really improved. She will be a force the next few years.

Mason points off turnovers was probably the biggest factor. Game tied at 47 and Whitney O'Mara steals an inbounds pass and lays it in and gets fouled at 0:44 second mark. Makes FT for three point lead. Ryle runs clock down and turns it over again but Mason misses one and one. Ryle last chance with 0:08 but really could not get a good shot off.

Ok, got it. Obviously Sumo was jesting, he is well aware his Lady Royals are doubted by very few.

Even the bgp poll predicted this win. Many predicted an easy win.

 

You aren't the under dog when you are ranked top ten in state, coming off a final four finish, losing no players AND you are playing an unranked team in that particular home venue.
