Guys I am seeking some input from you. I help organize a boys varsity showcase basketball event; The Ohio Valley Hoops Classic which will be Dec. 2, 3, and 4 next year. We seek the top high school teams (no prep schools) that we can get from Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky and then try to create the best matchups we can. We also include some of our local teams. This will be our third year. In the first two years we have had some pretty good teams including: Indianapolis Park Tudor, Cleveland East Tech, Lorain, Pickerington Central, Dayton Dunbar, Lakota East, Mason, Wilmington, Newark, and from Kentucky, Lexington Catholic and Campbell County.

 

We are in the process of recruiting teams for next year's event. I know you guys watch a lot of ball, and sometimes you are more knowledgeable than the so-called recruiting experts,so I would welcome your input as to any Kentucky teams or elite players that you think we should go after. Bowling Green has a great chance to be the best team in Ky next year.

Hopkinsville should be really really good as well.

Fern Creek would be the third I'd recommend.

 

Dunbar w/ Hollingsworth would be worth getting just to watch him, and they should be solid as well.

Fern Creek most definitely is the best junior class stocked team in Louisville. New Albany fits the bill in Southern Indiana.

Does Dunbar lose anyone this year?? I know Hollingsworth returns but wondered if anyone major departed, if not they could be really good next season.

Agreed, also could make an argument for Pendleton with Allen for the next few years. Could just have those two teams play each other again. It was a whole lot of fun the first time.

They lose Darius Williams and Jordan Lewis. Two huge losses.

Depends on if New Albany keeps everyone. Will be really good if they do. I could see their best player making a move if he dominates this year to get more competition on a night in night out basis.

I know this is a bit off topic but Dunbar plays New Albany this year at the Kentucky/Indiana Hall of Fame Classic in Frankfort, Kentucky on January 9th.

Indiana schools can't play in tournament set-up events
